Step-by-Step Untangling
- Take the cord out of the pool and disconnect it from the power supply.
- Lay it out straight on the warm deck in the sun for 10 to 15 minutes. Warmth softens the cable and releases its coiled memory.
- Work from one end, gently pulling the knots loose rather than yanking, which only tightens them.
- Let it hang or lay flat to fully straighten before you feed it back into the pool.
Avoid tightly re-coiling the cord for storage; loose, wide loops prevent new memory kinks.
Stop It Coming Back
Once it is straight, the goal is to keep it that way. Feed out only the cord length your pool needs, and make sure your anti-tangle swivel spins freely so the cable can unwind on its own.
