The light on your Dolphin power supply is a status indicator, and what it means depends on whether it is steady or flashing.
A Steady Light Is Normal
On most Dolphin models, a solid indicator light simply confirms the power supply is on and delivering power to the robot. If your cleaner is running and the light is steady, nothing is wrong — that is the unit working as intended.
A Blinking or Flashing Light
A flashing light is the power supply's way of reporting a fault. The most common triggers are:
- A jammed impeller or debris wrapped around the drive train drawing too much current
- An electrical overload or short in the cord or connector
- Overheating of the power supply from sun exposure or poor ventilation

If the Fault Keeps Returning
A light that keeps flashing after a reset and a thorough cleanout points to a failing power supply, motor, or a damaged cord. Inspect the cord for nicks and the connectors for corrosion, and replace parts from our parts page.
