- Cheap, but Disappointing - While the Aiper Scuba E1 is rather affordable, we found in our testing it only works on flat pools, has no intelligent pool mapping, and constantly needs to be recharged.
- 3 Hours of Charging Daily - We disliked the short battery life, even after only the first few days of our tests. With a 100 minute battery life, we had to charge it for over 180 minutes to get it back in the pool a second time in a day - compared to other pool robots that run automatically daily with a Weekly Timer.

- Top Load Filter - One of the bright sides is the Aiper's top-loading filter. But it still cannot rival the results we got with the Dolphin Escape with MaxBin and NanoFilters
- Flat Pools Only - If you have any uneven surface in your pool, avoid this robot. The Aiper Scuba E1 only cleans flat pool floors and cannot handle inclines or climb the wall.
