Didn’t even know there was an upgrade. We bought this about 40 ago, had to return right before the 30 day return period ended because it stopped charging. Not ordered another one. Works really good, but doesn’t do the sides and can’t get stuff in the corners, but we love it

Make sure it's off and plugged in properly. Mine was mostly already charged when i got it. I believe it won't really turn on until it's submerged also

It should work fine since it is not connected to the pump and you are supposed to turn the pump off to use the vacuum.

It doesn't shut off but it does "dock" itself by the edge of the pool when its power is depleted. You need to turn it to off when you put it back on the charger. I found mine sometimes gets stuck by the side of our pool stair ladder sometimes so I've learned to check on it now and then. It does a fantastic job.

Yes, it picks up fine debris real good .... as for the dead algae, I'm not sure as there is no dead algae in my pool

It rides easy enough on the floor of your pool it shouldn’t hurt the vinyl at all. My problem was that it didn’t work at all

Don't know why that happened. Did you dry the electrical charger connection before recharging? Contact the manufacturer.

We returned ours it would run for less than 20 mins on a full charge. Customer service is very slow to respond.

Probably not a problem. It will pick up the chips. Mine picks up small twigs. It's very good at spring opening where the filter will trap the algae. Also we throw a handful of cotton balls inside which seems to trap the smaller dirt particles.

It could be cuz whatever sediment is on the bottom of the pool gets moved around when it is moving and vacuuming check your filter add clarifier after

I don't have algae, my problem is sand and it's a problem for this thing, so I'm guessing you'd have the same problem with algae. It will pick up some and send up a cloud with the rest.

Works good I was never able to get the all the bumps out of the bottom of my liner either I have an 18x52 intex pool. Nothing stops it except when its full. I really love it.

Aiper has fantastic customer service, and they wilk absolutely honor the warranty, as long as you purchase from an authorized reseller such as Amazon. I have had first hand experience dealing with them.

Not sure. I just messed with it until I liked it. It's never going to be perfect anyway. When it gets to the portion where one wheel isn't straight with the other, it will pivot until the robot is straight with the side of the pool until it goes in the opposite direction

Battery is not charged or bad

The Aiper I recently purchased recharges its battery in a regular 110v electrical outlet. I purchased the following https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HZWLN66?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details . My unground pool is 16x38 and although I have only had the Aiper for 2 weeks, it seems to be working quite well thus far.

There are some YouTube videos on what the settings should be from pool guys that have checked them out. I use -10 and +30 and get good coverage.

I live in Nevada. I understand those dust storms which is why we purchased this product. My pool is concrete/plaster and it does well. Pebbletec has more texture but I think it should work nicely.

No. You can change line of cleaning direction. I noticed it kicking up dirt and not sucking it in the machine but I let it run it's full 90 minutes and at the end of the cycle, all the debris was gone. The screen was surprisingly covered in fine algae. This was a great investment and we are quite happy with it's capabilities.

I'm just getting my pool open and its pretty dirty. I netted out all the leaves but quite a bit of dirt remains. The robot cleaner did a passable job for how dirty it was. I believe that it is better suited for routine cleaning during the week (small twigs, not much dirt).

The battery and motor are an integrated unit. They did send me a replacement under warranty and I disassembled it and swapped it so they may sell the module through support.

I think the instructions say to make sure the battery is at least 80% before storing but it would probably be beneficial to charge it every few months.

It doesn't. My pool has a very gradual slope as it's a 40' long pool & it couldn't get into the shallow end to clean. Plus, every time it reversed course, the jet blew debris up, into the water, & I ended up with a super cloudy pool.

Mine turned on right out of the box, but it needed a charge. It would be very rare to have it arrive fully charged. I'd dump it in the pool and let it run until it quits, then charge it. Just thought, are you aware there's no red light on the vacuum itself, only on the the charge cord?

For a round pool set both nozzles to 20 degrees per the instruction manual.

I have a pool that is 3.5-6 ft and it has two large older style filters on the bottom which stick up pretty far and it goes over both no problems. It’s worth getting it and trying it out. I love mine!

Yes! We have a 12 x 22ft above ground oblong pool and it works great! Be sure to set it at "0" and "40" for the best results.

It should pick up pine needles. All you can do is run your robot in your pool and see what it does. It shouldn't damage your cleaner.

There is no reason it could not be used in salt water. It does not hook to the pump. As far as I can tell, everything is sealed and stainless steel so it should not rust.

I spoke with customer service about my on/off knob and they sent me a video to unscrew the unit and clean it out. I discovered a piece of the blue knob had chipped off. They do not have the blue knob as a replacement part currently so they are sending me a whole new unit and free return label! Great customer service! As I was taking the unit apart which was very easy I realized a lot of hair was wrapped around both propellers so I went ahead and removed those and cleaned them out. The whole unit only has a few screws and should be easy to maintain and trouble shoot in the future. If my new knob starts sticking I will take it apart instead of trying to force it to turn. Hope this helps!

I a m not really sure what you are asking but you hold this unit underwater and allow it fill up before turning on the motor. You then lower it into the pool with the rope that is included. When unit makes contact with the bottom of the pool it begins to vcuum

That can happen if you leave the jets in the default position. I twisted each one a few clicks in the opposite direction of one another. That varied up the cleaning cycle and seems to have stopped it from getting stuck on walls/corners.

Dear Cheryl, We are sorry to tell you that the Seagull 1000 cannot be used with bluetooth.

When the battery starts getting low it is programmed to stop near an edge of the pool. It has worked so far but we have only used it a few times. This makes it easier to retrieve the floating string to pull the unit out of the water. There is no guidance thing to hang on a wall.

Have you checked the small LED light on the charger? It should be red when plugged in and charging and turns green when no more load on the charger (ie robot fully charged). If no light at all, probably the charger plug part is bad. Or you plugged into a switchable outlet that is off (yes, I've done this with my cell phones before!) If no LED and outlet itself is good, you can probably contact manufacturer and get a replacement charger, if LED light stays red and robot never charges, yes you will need to return for a replacement, either with amazon if recently purchased, or with mfg if within warranty period. Good luck!

Contact the mfg. I had a motor go bad and they replaced it under warranty.

Are you referring to the nylon cord? If yes then just go to the nearest hardware store and get a replacement.

I got the1000 thinking it would have more power. The others sounded like they only worked well on flat bottomed pools. This one does go up the sides about 6 inches or so and handles the slop between the shallow and deep end. I noticed that very rarely it has trouble getting out of the deep end when the charge is getting low, but not really a problem. I'm very happy with this product.

I would think so. It's very lightweight in the water. I use it in a gunite hot tub that's part of my pool - no issues whatsoever.

This vacuum can charge in a couple hours It does a good job of picking up smaller items, but not the bigger ones. Overall does a good job.

Make sure you can turn it the opposite way first, then try it. I’ve not had this problem so I can answer correctly. Your next step- call the company that makes it.

It’s adjustable, you can adjust it to go in a circle if you want. But not sure what you are asking if it will rotate..is like a small car underneath the water..

Yes they are fixed (don’t spin) but it does an excellent job picking up small debris

Keep aggravating them! I would until I got them.

I have always left my pump running and it cleans great. Maybe the idea is to make sure everything settles so the Aiper can do a better job. Not sure

I don't know about the battery. I was thinking when the time came I would take the battery and attached cord to Batteries and More to see what they think.

I pick mine up on both sides at the bottom between the wheels. I pull it to the surface by the rope. my kids put it in the pool every 3-4 days (we have a lot of trees) . It does an impressive job cleaning and has saved many sweaty hours cleaning the old fashioned way. I am still pleased months later with the purchase.
