✓No NanoFiltration - The top-load basket was great in our testing, but you may wanna consider a robot with NanoFilters to capture sand, dirt, and debris the standard mesh filters miss.
✓No Weekly Timer - The Dolphin Nautilus CC no longer includes the weekly timer, meaning you have to manually turn it on daily. Look at the Dolphin Cayman which still has the Weekly Timer to enable full cleaning automation.
✓Floor and Wall Coverage - The Dolphin Nautilus CC cleans the floor and walls, but misses the dirtiest part of your pool: the Waterline Cleaning
✓Plug and Play - We loved how easy it was to connect and use the Dolphin Nautilus CC. It never needs to recharge like cordless pool robots, which we loved.
✓Active Scrubbing - With an active scrubbing brush, the Dolphin Nautilus CC attacks algae, debris, and more with its scrubbing brush.
✓Restocking Fee - Be careful. Sellers of the Dolphin Nautilus CC may impose up to a 20%+ restocking fee for returning the Dolphin Nautilus CC, costing you hundreds. We recommend units with a risk-free 30 day trial.
Dolphin Nautilus CC is able to easily clean your walls of your pool. However, don't get this confused with waterline cleaning. The Nautilus CC will only clean the walls of your pool. It will miss the dirtest part of your pool, the waterline, where 90% of all algae and bacteria is in your pool. Make sure to check out the top waterline cleaning units ranked here: Waterline Cleaning Robots

The Dolphin was delivered today (ahead of schedule), and after reading the Quick Start directions, I put it to work immediately. There's almost nothing to it. Connect the waterproof cord to the console, drop the unit into the water, plug the console cord into the wall socket, press the power button. We have a rectangular fiberglass pool with salt water. It has a large sitting platform which is about 2 feet deep. The platform then drops off into the deeper (lap swimming) end of the pool. The pool is 6 feet at the deepest end. I dropped the Dolphin into the deep end then hit the start button. This unit is advertised. It was definitely vacuuming up the debris. It picks up the pebbles, and it actually crawls up the pool wall to the point where at least a third of it breaches the surface, then drops back in. However, I have seen it crawl up the 4 foot wall of the platform, at which time it cleans the platform (briefly), until it blindly rolls off the platform edge, descending into the deeper water. After two hours, the bottom was probably 98% clean. There were a couple of 90 degree corners that it just couldn't quite pick up, so I'm currently running it for another hour. Perhaps I will stir up those two corners next time to give it an assist. Lastly, our pool has two steps to the deeper water. The unit appears unable to crawl up the stairs. Five starts because it is convenient, simple, and effective. Update: In order to get the last 2-3% of dirt left over in the corners and at the base of the walls, we first brush the debris toward the middle of the pool floor. Then, we run this unit for an hour and the pool looks great! ~ We use this unit about once per week and always after the lawn is mowed. ~ I set it on a small 2x4 block to keep pressure off of the brush up front. I also sometimes set it on it's side when it's not in use. Nothing to warp when it's on its side. ~ We gently spray out the debris bucket with the garden hose. The filters on the side seem delicate/fine (which I'm guessing is why the fine dirt doesn't appear to pass through the system). ~ In order to retrieve it you use the power cord to pull it in. It's very light when it's in the water, but when it gets within reach, grab the unit itself. This prevents undue stress on the power cord when it's full of water. Bottom line: This thing doesn't care how blazing hot or ice cold it is outside or how long its work shift is, it gets the job done so you don't have to.

First Impressions (and then some more later on)
g.v.m.—July 21, 2022
07/21/22: 24' Above Ground Round Pool Received Nautilus CC yesterday and just now placed it in the pool and started the first cleaning. Watched if for about 10 minutes to make sure it ran and so forth. Watched as it climbed the walls twice and maneuvered around some of the pool. Each path it took on the pool floor picked up debris (small stuff is all that is on there). I'm anxious to see how it handles the edges of the pool floor, if it can scour them. Put a plastic tub over the controller in case of rain (tub also holds the vacuum, power cord and controller when not in use). Set the auto run program to every other day (#2). Will update as a week or so goes by. So far the two things I've '5' starred are accurate and in addition it's easy to set-up and operate. The 'overall' ratings will change as it does its job of vacuuming the pool... or not. 07/28/2022 Update Have used the Nautilus CC a number of times now and have it loaded with the ultra-fine filter. It continues to do a fine job. There were some spots not addressed, small amounts scattered near to the edge/wall, a little hand brush work loosened them up and the vacuum took care of it. I find that I need to run it every other day as the pool is 1/3 of the way surrounded by deciduous trees... they drop dirt/dust in the wind and rain. The vacuum runs its course for about 2 hours and the pool is very very clean. Also the concern about the power cable getting tangled up... not happening. Although the cord does overlap or underlap itself, it doesn't get tangled so as to restrict the vacuum. the Nautilus CC does not have the anti-tangle device for the power cord.Due to the Nautilus CC being plugged into the main pool timer, the power to it cuts out about 7 pm every evening. This cancels the memory function as the controller has no power. No big deal. I've left the Nautilus CC in the pool for 4 days and just move it to the floor side near the ladder should someone go in the pool and then just powered it up from there. A nice addition to this entire unit would be a rechargeable battery built in for the controller so that it doesn't lose its memory when the power shuts off. Just a thought. I give this a two thumbs up one week into using it. another update much later on... maybe. UPDATE - 08/30/2022: I am very impressed with this DOLPHIN Nautilus CC cleaner. I run it every 3rd day now and the pool remains near to spotless. This year here in upstate NY the weather has raised havoc with algae growth and so forth, but given chemicals an then using the DOLPHIN Nautilus CC vacuum, the pool has remained pretty clean. I will state that the cord has gotten twisted, but nothing that is hard to untangle and even when 'tangled' some from twists and turns by the DOLPHIN Nautilus CC vacuum, it is easily pulled apart by the DOLPHIN Nautilus CC vacuum itself as it moves around underwater. I highly recommend the DOLPHIN Nautilus CC pool vacuum g.v.m.

Very good cleaner with room to improve
FengFang—May 21, 2022
Used it for about three weeks and want to share my thoughts to help those who are on the fence. Background: I have a kidney shaped pool measured 35’x15’. I have been using a Polaris 280 cleaner for about ten years; this is the first time I use an electrical cleaner. - Packaging: nice and solid; there is a pack of booklets including quick start guide, FAQ, and warranty. Full menu needs to be downloaded online but so far I don't find it necessary. - Setup: very easy; basically there is no assembly required. I do recommend you to un-tangle the cable before you start to use it. - Warranty: it is 24-month based on the warranty booklet included - Suction power: at the beginning I am not impressed and almost wanted to return. Then I found out that after at most two cleaning cycle, the filtration basket caught up so much dirt/silt that the suction power went downhill quickly. You have to make sure you clean up the filtration basket after one or two cleaning cycles. The mesh around the filtration basket (this is the stock one coming with the cleaner, not the ultra fine one you can purchase separately) will catch very fine particles that I almost think is not necessary. If I buy another filtration basket I will just get the regular one, or even a coarse one if available. - Efficiency: it does a fine job cleaning my pool in two hours; I haven’t used it in the heavy seasons (I have lots of trees around the pool) so time will tell. It will save me on the electricity bill and maintenance on the booster pump for sure. - Cleaning of the filtration basket: *tips*: open the bottom of the basket will make your cleaning much easier. I think the Polaris 280 filtration bag (with zip) is easier to clean. Also, the cleaning bag of Polaris continues to collect leaves/debris after many days, which the Dolphin Nautilus CC’s filtration basket needs to be cleaned very frequently (see my comments above in the “Suction power” section). It’s a minor inconvenience I can live with. But I do want Dolphin to considering making a basket with coarse mesh (***Dolphin please see this***). - Weight: the cleaner is heavier than Polaris 280 but manageable; just let it stay at the water line for a few seconds so water can flow back to the pool, before you pull it out the water. - Cable tangling: this was one of my major concerns before purchasing but so far it’s be great, no tangling. My observation is that the cleaner moves in such a manner that the blue cable/wire is not twisted. Again, my suggestion is to untangle the cable/wire before you put it in the water to start with. - Scheduling: some other reviews have already mentioned this, but I just realized it today, that the weekly scheduler will ONLY work for ONE WEEK. After one week you need to schedule again. I can live with it. - Convenience: another thing I like about the Nautilus is I can easily remove it when kids are using the pool. With Polaris they will have to deal with it. Overall, I like it so far and have stopped the booster pump and removed the Polaris 280. I probably need to put the Polaris back during spring and fall when the leaves are dumped into the pool. I will post updates if there is any. Happy pooling!!!

Works very good for our pool!
Julian Tejedor—June 8, 2022
I just wanted to write a brief review of this pool robot. It’s been a great tool for us to keep from having to vacuum manually. I had this same model and it lasted about five years. From researching 5 years is about the upper end of life for these. My pool has kind of a whale shape to it but the robot seems to get most of the pool. He doesn’t really get the stairs or the small shallow area but I just sweep the dirt into the deeper end and he gets it the next time I run him. When my old model broke down I forgot how much a hate vacuuming manually. Unfortunately getting these units repaired is almost cost prohibitive, replacing the motor is almost as much as a new unit. I thought maybe I should upgrade and began researching different models. Pentair are supposed to be better units but I read about many people only getting 2 years out of the motor. I bought a dolphin triton and was happy. It seemed to be an upgrade in nearly every regard versus this unit. Ran it and it stopped after twenty minutes. Unplugged everything and tried running it again a few times and it would only run for five minutes then quit. Defective right out of the box and had to return it. Decided to just get this model again since I had decent luck with our last model. Everything seemed ok but the control box died after the first run! No lights nothing. I reached out to maytonics support and they basically acknowledged the box was bad but said since they didn’t have any I would have to ship the whole unit back. Ludicrous! Thankfully I contacted Pool Zoom who I purchased the unit from on here and they got me taken care of so kudos to them. Maytonics definitely has some QC issues. Hopefully this unit runs 5 years like our old one and I will be happy to purchase another. Don’t get me wrong I wish it lasted longer. Minor gripes would be he gets stuck on the drain sometimes and as I mentioned he doesn’t really do much in the shallow end. This new model will hang out in the shallow end more for whatever reason so that is a bonus. The nicer units can cost over three times more than this one. I don’t think they work three times as good. I read the same complaints about the fancy ones as I see for this one. Also don’t hear about them lasting way longer than this one. This robot has been a solid work horse especially considering the price next to the nicer models.

I've had 4 different swimming pool vacuums
Elizabeth White—September 3, 2022
I've had 4 different above ground swimming pool vacuums and this one has done the best. I had gotten algae and my pool turned green from a sprinkle while I was filling it up. I got rid of the green but all the sand from the algae was at the bottom of my pool. Everyone in my house vacuumed the pool daily with a few different vacuums and nothing was working to get the fine sand up. Although, this is a pricey swimming pool vacuum it is well worth the price and saves time. I do recommend you buy the fine filter sold separately for fine particles. The one that comes with it isn't good enough to pick up fine sand. It is easy set up and take out. Remember to take out the filter when you take it out of the pool and spray it down. I use my garden hose. I use this vacuum 3 times a week. It runs about 3 hours and for the most part gets my entire pool.

It’s not perfect
John—August 5, 2022
I bought this almost a month ago because our pool is difficult to keep clean. We bought a Walmart pool, 4ft deep x 18 ft across. I purchased an aftermarket pump for it too but it still couldn’t keep the pool clean and vacuums did not work well with the upgraded pump. Ultimately splurged and bought this, and it’s not even the top model. It doesn’t always climb the walls of my pool, but it will sometimes if it hits the wall head on, I don’t feel it “scrubs” the walls. The walls still accumulate dirt rings. Also the floor of our pool is not very flat because the ground is t super smooth, so this robot cannot get into the uneven areas well and misses these small wrinkles and small craters in the pool. Because the suction inlet is in the center of the bottom of the robot, it does not clean up against walls on an above ground pool well at all. You may find yourself having to sweep the edges of the pool into the center where the robot can get it. I do feel it is a MUST to buy the fine particulate filter because the standard filter will allow sediment through the screen making your pool very cloudy. Overall I’d buy it again though.

Not only a great product, great GREAT customer service!
robert scott dunn—September 19, 2022
This product alone has saved me so much time. My pool is older and doesn't have a skimmer, only an inlet and an outlet. This thing keeps my pool cleaner than when I vacuum it. All I do is empty it. I have had to vacuum 0 times except when opening my pool these last 2 years. I won't go into details about it, but I did have to vacuum a few days when my power supply started going bad, but the excellent customer service handled that for me. I will buy from this company again 100%.

HAL the Robot
Roger Broersma—September 26, 2022
My pool is a kidney shaped 19 x 34. They said this Robot would work for pools up to 33' But it works fine on my pool. It is simple to clean compared to my old one. ( I did glue on Eyes front and back so it can see better ! :) ). We named it "HAL 1000" after the Computer in the 1969 movie 2001. HAL is one letter off in the Alphabet from IBM :)

Gayla Thompson—August 19, 2022
I purchased this product after seeing a friend had one, and I was sick of constantly cleaning the pool and not enjoying it. I was expecting company and the pool was a mess. I manually cleaned it these that I could knowing the the dolphin was to arrive in two days. Company was coming over the filling day. To my surprise, when my first guests arrived the dolphin was on my front porch (arrived 1 day early!! 😊) we unboxed it and read the direction while walking to the pool. Easy peasy plug & play. Did two runs the first day and cleaned up beautifully. Since then, every morning I turn it on and does it magic. The only reason I gave the remote 1 star is that I have not used that feature yet. Wonderful product, definitely worth the money to me as I can now enjoy the pool!

My first inground pool.Took a lot reading and learning about the all the levels of things. The water was in the pool a week during the month of June in TN, before the pool guy installed the the filter and salt water chlorinator.needles to say it was becoming a little funky. I read several pool cleaners until I decided on this one.no assembly ready to use plug it in and let it go.i even clean it back to back at times without emptying the filter.but I always clean filter when wet. The only draw back which is not a biggie is it doesn't clean the sun shelf I suppose because the water doesn't completely go over the top of dolphin.besides that it's awesome.the greatest investment with my pool.

Being a first time pool owner, after the first year, I knew I wanted a pool cleaner. Looking everywhere, I did not feel I could justify the price for our 27 ft above ground pool. They were either way more than I was willing to pay, did not climb walls, or not listed as use for above ground pools. After a friend told me about one he had bought for his in ground pool and how well it worked I looked to see if the same company made one for my pool. Looked at it several times trying to make up my mind if I wanted to spend over 600.00 for a pool cleaner. Finally took the plunge and ordered it. Came in quickly and I was so anxious to hook it up and try it out. Took a very short time to familiarize myself with operation and set it in the pool. Watched it for the first couple of minutes. Would it actually climb the walls of my pool? YES!!! Went inside the house and left it to do its job. Couple of hours later I went out to check and it was done. Pool was spotless! So color me impressed with this robot. We had a terrible storm a few nights ago. High winds and torrential rain. Even knocked out my tv even though I had a surge suppressor on it. Needless to say, my pool was full of debris. After taking biggest stuff out I set Aquaman ( my wife’s and my name for him) in the pool and hoped for the best. Pool was once again spotless except for a few small twigs and branches I had missed beforehand. If you are on the fence over this purchase, don’t be. Well worth the money if the unit does not break. We will see how that goes.

Great Product
nightowl—August 21, 2022
This product changed our entire relationship with our swimming pool!! Easy to operate and easy to clean, it keeps the bottom of the pool pretty much spotless. What little it doesn’t vacuum up directly into its filter, it stirs up so that the regular pool system filters it out of the water. It even gets the sides and steps. This is a really cool product that works as advertised and is well worth the price…unless you really like scrubbing the bottom, rigging out the pool vacuum hose and backwashing the main pool filter all the time. Highly recommend.

Amazon Customer—August 24, 2022
I love this vaccum. Maybe because it's our first robot and I'm Thankful that we don't have to clean the pool by hand. Works great. SIMPLE TO OPERATE. Cleaning out the screen is not the easiest thing but everything works well It climbs the walls like a champ even though we have a ledge underwater. Picks up leaves and even an occasional small dead frog. Shuts off on its own. Great buy.

Good but not great.. this will be long!
Amazon Customer—April 22, 2019
Okay, first thing i'll say is don't rush to judge this cleaner. Give it a few days to see what it actually does because quite honestly I was not impressed at all with what I was seeing at first and almost sent it back. It's easy to get it going out of the box. Once going here is what I have noticed: WEIGHT - This was a big deciding factor for my wife who is small and was afraid she couldn't lift it. That's not a problem as it is light however that comes with another problem. There are times the tracks (wheels) just spin or the cleaner slides down the slopes of the pool. I am trying to figure out a way to add some weight to give it more traction. CLEVERCLEAN TECHNOLOGY - No & yes. The cleaner goes over the same spot multiple times and, because of how it will occasionally slide down the slopes and not get traction, I don't see how it could have any kind of smart navigation unless it has a GPS installed. That being said, it does eventually clean the whole pool although it might take two cycles. It does get hung up on our ladder but it eventually gets itself off. It also has a problem going over the drain if it is going backwards. As long as the brush goes first it will go over the drain easily. ANTI-TANGLE TECHNOLOGY - Um, no. First day it was twisted about 3 times. You generally have to take it out every other day or so to clean so that's when you untangle. Not a huge deal but wish this had a $10 swivel mechanism. CONTROL UNIT - The ONLY feature that is included on the Nautilus CC is the option to select it to repeat every day, every 2 days or every 3 days. Another thing that is not stated where I could see in the specs or description online that you have to re-select the repeat option every week so don't think you can set it to repeat every 2 days and you're good. POWER CABLE - The specs state the unit is ideal for pools up to 30 feet and I would partially agree. I had read other reviews that said it did well for their pools larger than that. I have a 36 foot pool with an 8 foot deep end and a plug about 10 feet from the end of the pool however I noticed it wasn't going all the way to the bottom of the far deep end or to the top of the wall on the deep end. The cable was stretched. I luckily have another plug around the middle of the pool which now makes it so I have more than enough cable. I measured the power cable to be about 45 feet but account for how far away you have to put the control box from the pool. EASY CLEAN - Probably one of the best things about this cleaner. The bottom hinges open at the touch of a button and then just spray it with a hose. You can also remove two of the side panels if needed to make cleaning even easier. Very happy with this part of the unit. POOL CLEANING - We haven't hit the bad part of summer yet but it seems like it cleans pretty well. You'll notice it does throw up some debris occasionally when it rolls over it but it also seems as though it eventually picks it up later because once it stops the pool is clean with a few small rare exceptions. SIDES AND STEPS - It climbs the walls well but not everytime. It does spend about 3 or 4 seconds scrubbing the waterline so that is another very positive thing. It also climbs up our first step but that's about it. It can't move down the step so just falls back off. I hope this helps others in trying to answer some questions I had and in making their decision. This is my first robotic cleaner and don't know why they cost so much but I guess it's because we pay it. I just hope it lasts!

You get the performance you pay for unfortunately
Justin Sonnett—July 23, 2022
I'm an engineer who designs machines for a living and loves to tinker with these things. I finally decided to purchase my first new robot after a few years of repairing and using various other user models that either came with my house or were given to me by friends and I fixed. This will be my fourth robotic cleaner so I have a pretty decent baseline to compare this cleaner against. After reading all the good reviews on the Nautilus CC I decided to give it a go. This robot doesn't have any fancy features or bells and whistles, which I like. I just wanted something simple, reliable and reasonably priced. The robot is easy to use and the filter basket is the easiest to clean of any robot I've used yet. It has a ton of capacity which is great if you have a lot of trees around like I do. Also, the cord rarely gets twisted up which is something I think all my previous cleaners struggled with. The cons: It really does a spotty job of cleaning my 30ft long, oval, in-ground pool. It can take 2-3 (2 hour) cycles to actually hit all the bottom surfaces of my pool. Often times I will actually get in the pool with the robot to direct it towards the dirty areas. It loves to drive around on the bottom doing wheelies without the brush contacting the bottom or the suction motor running. It seems to spend maybe 30% + of a cleaning cycle mindlessly wheelying around the pool without actually vacuuming. Additionally, it doesn't do a great job of picking up really fine debris with the standard filter and would leave lots of silty stuff behind. I had to spend another $80 for the fine pleated filter in order for it to pick up the fine stuff. Get what you pay for performance. I am hoping the simplicity of this robot means it will last a long time and its popularity means parts will be affordable and readily available(?) If it does, I will be fairly pleased. Only time will tell.

1 year later
Finz—June 13, 2022
1 year later still going strong, after being in the pool all day and night and being run at least 400x tracks started slipping and kept coming off as well as one of the wheel covers and a couple of the small brushes on the bottom. Beyond that the cord has gotten a little sticky and unit is slightly sun beaten. (AZ Sun) Reached out to mayotronics via email and they immediately set repair up. When the wheel covers started coming off they set up shipment for replacement covers to me. I am still 100% satisfied, my pool is always crystal clear and I can honestly say is partial thanks to this, it picks up every teeny tiny little piece of sand, dirt, bugs and other. It even sucked up a large lizard that must have drown. And I am not having to brush anything besides steps daily. It does part of the steps, but the model I bought, I did not expect it too at all. So far the company has been super responsive with the warranty. I hope to get a few years more out of it, no telling with AZ sun though! I will buy another when this one poops out permanently. I still think it was a very worthy buy.

Great replacement for suction vacuum
DLW—June 9, 2022
This robot does a great job cleaning the bottom of the pool. It can also climb up the sides to clean those areas. Unfortunately, it doesn't handle corners, curved surfaces, or steps, so depending on the shape of your poo, you may have areas to clean manually. The control box is not waterproof, so you'll need an enclosure (I used a 13.8x9.8 one as shown in the picture) to protect it from the weather. I liked the variety of programming options (every day, every other day, etc.) and it is easy to clean the filter basket. It runs for 3 hours each cleaning cycle, which is enough to clean a medium sized pool. The power cord is only a few feet long but the control cable (between the control box and robot) is long enough to reach everywhere in a 40' pool if you place the control box near the middle.

Great pool cleaner!
Clarissa—July 19, 2022
This past year we had some issues that caused our pool to turn into what could only be described as a swamp. After getting the chemistry back on track and manual removal of some nasty stuff I was still left with a ton of dead algae silt at the bottom of the pool and I really did not want to vacuum it all through the filter. This guy, along with the ultra fine filter cleaned that mess up! I was so surprised at how much it picked up and kept out of my filters. It is super easy to clean and one run a week keeps my time free and my pool spotless. So happy we made the decision to go with this cleaner!

Does its job
Barl5—March 23, 2022
I have only used this once so far. I initially put it into our above ground pool to open it up after winter. Overall it had a few leaves but a lot of slime in the pool. It immediately started cleaning up the walls and on the bottom but I noticed that a lot of the fine particles were coming back out of the vacuum. I had bought the extra fine filter to go with it so I pulled it back out and put in the extra fine filter and it did a good job of getting all the bottom of the pool clean. I am in the process of shocking and running the water the the filtration system to get all the top dirt in the water cleaned out. Then I will run the vacuum again after the top water is cleaned. The only thing I noticed that the vacuum did weird was it would be in the middle of the pool and would start lifting up like it was trying to climb a wall. I am assuming it is because we have some bumps from our foot prints in the bottom of the pool from when we originally set it up and it comes to one of the bumps and thinks it is a wall. After a couple of tries of it trying to climb the wall in the middle, it will go back down to the floor and start vacuuming again. Overall, so far, we are happy with this vacuum.

Excellent addition to our pool
Momofthree—August 21, 2022
We have used electric cleaners for several years and could not be more pleased with this choice. It works well—picks up well and has a decent capacity. Our pool is open and neighbors have a huge oak tree, so we ask a lot of the cleaner. Would buy a similar item again!

Great value, EASY to use, good machine!
Lindsay J.—June 20, 2022
So I've opened my pool and maintained it with this vacuum for a few months now. It's easy to use and works very well. We seem to have a lot of dirt settling in our seams/ corners this year. This machine cleans most of that. I plan on trying the fine filter basket also. I have an 18x36 rectangle pool with stairs at one end. This machine sometimes does wheelies sometimes wanders on the stairs and will eventually find it's way down. There aren't many bells and whistles but it's worth it's price! Would recommend if you aren't the kind of person who thinks an air fryer needs Bluetooth.

For pool cleanup, It's the best money I have ever spent!
Julie-South Carolina—October 1, 2022
The media could not be loaded. The suction power is great! It does a great job on the bottom, removing dead algae or chlorine sediment. It also moves up and down and cleans the sidewalls near the top. Clean up is so easy. You simply remove the unit from the pool, lift the lid, empty and rinse the filter basket. My only clean up is rinsing the filter basket, which takes less than 3 minutes!

Easy to set up and use. No special preparation required. Two of the rubber sweeps on the bottom of the unit have come loose but the vacuum conveniently picked them up.

Easy to get going and does clean the pool
Michael Omiccioli—June 16, 2021
I have had this pool bot for almost two weeks. I opened my pool and put it to work. I did not want to vacuum with my filter beech they are expensive to replace. After less than a week the pool was clean enough to swim. Its not perfect but more importantly it save me from hours of vacuuming and flushing. So here are my findings. - It does not clean stairs, this is my third bot and none really did. - Kinda cleans the walls, those have never been really dirty so what it does is fine. - Corners at the floor is not great - There is a float on the cable and the bot wheelies a lot. I took that off and its much better. That may have impacted the wall climbing a bit but not a big deal. It does still climb just not sure if there is a real impact. I haven't notice so I am going to say not a big deal. - The cable does not have a swivel. Some have complained it get twisted and tangled. No issues for me so far. I has been in the pool since I received it except to be cleaned. While I was concerned when I realized there was no swivel, I'm not any more. A little bit of common sense and maybe unwind it once in a week. In almost two weeks I have had no issues. - Price, I consider this bot mid range and for less than $650 I'm a happy camper. This is my third bot and I take care of them. First one lasted 3 seasons and with warranty I got a fourth season. The second one lasted 5 years. So average life is 4 at best. So I look at as $150 a year. Since the price jumps quickly I dont see the value in double or even 2.5 times the cost of this one. - didn't come with a fine mesh filter. - Easy to use easy to run it just works and easy to DIY repairs if needed (hopefully not) -Can stay in the pool all season - It comes with a 50ft cable and I have a 36 foot pool. SO the controller has to be close to the edge of the pool. another 10 feet would have been perfect. Im giving it 4 stars because of no swivel, cable length and no fine mesh filter. I would buy this again. Hope this helps

Tried once so far so good
Danielle—August 4, 2022
The media could not be loaded. So I just bought this after many people I know convincing me despite the reviews. Pictures are after using it once. It seemed to get up alot of the dirt and DE that manual vacuum seems to fail at. Very easy to empty and manage. The cord is short, so I wish that was longer. It didn’t really get any green off the sides or bottom so it’s better for debris I think. We shall see

Should not have waited 10 years to buy this
sgopal2—July 26, 2019
The media could not be loaded. I've owned an inground pool for the last 10+ years. Over time, I've tried many different pool cleaning products. Suction side cleaners, Kreepy krawly, battery powered vacuums, etc. Each of them had their own limitations and caused more frustration than they were worth. Over the past few years, I've been manually cleaning with a battery powered vacuum. And this meant the pool was never 100% clean. My neighbor had a robotic pool cleaner about 8 years ago, but I was skeptical from buying because his kept getting tangled in its own cord. After reading some reviews, I thought I'd give the Dolphin Nautilus a try. It was simply a miracle. After dropping it in the pool, you just walk away, and it does its job with no fuss. I leave mine in the pool all the time (except when shocking). The timer is set to run every day for a 2 hour cycle. The pool is crystal clean all the time. No more nagging from the wife to clean the pool. The nautilus has a cool buoy holding the cord upright, so it NEVER tangles. I'm attaching a video of the Nautilus in action. I dropped it in the pool right after opening. As you can see there is a lot of debris. The nautilus cleaned up everything like a champ. The filter bucket is easy to clean. The only (small) gripe I have is that the cycle time is preset (about 2 hours). For pool openings, the robot needs to run for longer. So I had to go outside every few hours and reset it. But now after opening, the 2 hour cycle is perfect for daily maintenance. Would suggest to also buy a small pool box to cover the voltage converter, controller and extension cord. The instructions say to not use an extension cord. I bought a heavy gauge outdoor extension cord from Home Depot and it works fine. Mine is connected to an outdoor rated electrical junction box all the time. The robot stays in the pool and is set for a daily cycle. This can be adjusted to every 2 days or every 3 days depending on need. I also bought the ultrafine filter set. But I didn't really need it. Most of the debris that I get is larger, and gets picked up fine from the normal filter. I also have a DE filter which captures more fine particulate. So you might consider trying out the normal filter before shelling out the extra money for an ultrafine filter. The more expensive versions of this robot have other features: caddy, longer cord, bluetooth, etc. I thought about all of this and decided against. Those other features are nice, but I really didn't need them. Turns out the Dolphin nautilus is perfect for my needs. Don't be like me and wait 10 years to buy something like this. It was worth every penny, and more than paid for itself. I bought this with my own money and received no incentives from the manufacturer to write this review. EDIT (Aug 2020): Nearing the end of my second season with this robotic pool cleaner. It still works great. The color on the plastic has faded due to sun/chlorine exposure. The rubber tracks are still good. This morning I noticed that the nautilus had problems moving, and would get stuck. After watching some youtube videos, I realized that something might have jammed the ball bearings or the impeller. It was easy to take apart. I found a wad of hair in the impeller blade. After removing it, everything worked wonderfully again. Apart from this, no major problems with this robotic cleaner. Would still definitely recommend.

It’s wonderful!
Millicent Barwick—July 17, 2022
The dolphin is a girls best friend. It’s very simple to operate. Place it in the water watch it sink to the bottom then push a button to turn it on. It does a beautiful job. It has saved me a lot of money not having to have someone come in every week to vacuum the pool. Sometimes more than once a week if we have a storm or very windy day when leaves accumulate in the pool. It is a bit heavy taking it out of the pool for a bit until all the water pours out of it but it’s not terrible. Cleaning the baskets is also quite easy. It’s really worth having.

Best pool purchase! This is a must have
a.fram—July 14, 2022
If you are hesitating buying a robotic pool cleaner, just buy this one. It is well worth its money. I was spending 2 hours cleaning my 10,000 gallon, teardrop shaped pool using a pool hose vacuum, twice a week during the summer. This cleaner does a better job than I ever did. Pros: cleans to the tile line, great suction, ease of emptying basket, large basket. Cons: it doesn't do stairs. I have heard people say the cord tangles, but I do not have this problem. I do, however, spread the cord the length of the pool and then put the Dolphin in. I teetered buying the Dolphin plus for extra $200, but I am very happy with this purchase.

Invest in a Robot Cleaner to enjoy more pool time!
estuPro—July 6, 2022
Purchased this for our 32x16 intex pool. Was almost as good of an investment as the pool itself. We just drop the robot in there in the morning, the pool is spotless when we get in. Cleans all the way up on the sides. Saves us so much time so we can enjoy the pool even more. Also saves us the frustration over arguing whose turn it was to vacuum the pool. The only negative experience we have is that the cable starts to get out of shape and wrap around itself after a while. But doesn’t affect the robots cleaning and is not too hard to fix. We just unplug the cable from the controller and let it sit in the sun for a little bit and its back to normal

Wish I went for the next model up.
Cynthia Ellis—July 8, 2021
The media could not be loaded. Only gave 3/5 stars because it has ‘issues’ that come and go. The day before it arrived our pool pump broke and was out of commission for 2 weeks (I live in Florida) Hat is off to this model for keeping it as clean as it did without a pool filter! Pros: -fast shipping, -works right outta the box- just throw it in and plug in 😃. -Filter is HUGE- (I love this because we have a lot of palm tree debris). I did opt to purchase the micro filters for the basket as I have sand too. -So simple to clean the filter- pop open the lid, basket handle comes up, pull out the basket, hose it off and place back in- done! -Easy to lift. The robot itself looks big, bulky and heavy but it really isn’t. Very easily pulled up/down in water by chord (DONT PULL OUT OF WATER VIA CHORD! There’s a handle for that) Once at surface, grab the handle and pull up on pool edge, letting the water drain out for a minute or two- then pick it up by its handle and set it in its cart or upside down (per instructions) to store it. You can leave it in the water if you want too- just take it out before adding chemicals. -It’s programmable! Set it up to clean 2X, 1x or every other day for one week. Or, just turn it on when you want. -For the most part it Cleans the sides (…sometimes… I’ll get to that in cons) and does a good job on the bottom for my pool so far (I’ve only had it for 3weeks). Cons: - if you want your stairs cleaned- you’ll have to do it yourself. I have 2 sets of steps- deep end and shallow. Hasn’t done them at all. Not a big deal for me as I like to scrub them myself prior to throwing the dolphin in anyway. -first day I threw it in the pool it did what can only be described as ‘wheelies’ when going from shallow to deep end (see video). Sometimes it will do this going the opposite direction too 🤷🏼♀️. It’s only done it 2X on 2 separate occasions… annoying but it still gets the job done so it is what it is. -first time in the pool it got stuck on my step. It did get itself off and it hasn’t happened again. -I didn’t get the storage cart and apparently the battery pack (controls) is waterRESISTANT but not waterPROOF and it must be covered if it rains- this is annoying as I live in Florida and it always rains- Plus, it’s part of a pool robot!?! It should be waterproof in my opinion!?! I placed it on top of a brick and put a bucket over the controller/battery pack in the meantime. - it’s pricey for what you get and how well it works. I’ve had dolphin pool robots always but it seems as though they’re getting pricier and their quality is getting cheaper. Conclusion: Knowing what I know now- I probably would have bit the bullet and gone for the pricier, better dolphin model. Do I regret buying this model? yes, because I knew the pricier one would be better…but no, because it still does the job and makes my life far easier by keeping it a lot cleaner with a lot less effort than what I’d have to do myself. I hope my info helps anyone considering this model dolphin. It does the job intended but it does have some issues.

Working since 2019 but…..
Wei luo—July 10, 2022
Had this since 2019 and my pool is 20’x40’. Still does a great job, but from time to time one side of the track falls off and the wheel cover as well. Seems like the track has is stretched alittle. The door on the filter box doesn’t lock any more. Other than that it’s been good to us.

Doesn't work as advertised... It's OK, not great...
Grunt1058—August 9, 2022
Initial impression was great. Until I had to run it 5 or 6 times to clean a small (15x32) pool. It doesn't get every inch, still need to use the brush to "sweep" the pool even after 4 or 5 back to back cleaning from this robot. Forget about corners or steps. I honestly feel like it makes just as much of a mess in the pool as it cleans. The smaller debris blows right out the top of the robot like an exhaust leak. Seems to be like it's unfiltered. Cleaning is easy enough. I get a lot of debris from neighbors trees. Sometimes, I have to pull that out of the vents. That's neither here nor there though. The filter basket washes out easily. Just do it over a bucket or something to catch the crap it does actually catch in the basket. Remote plastic is already swelling and separating from the remote. Not impressed. Has 2 useful features. Power and On... Otherwise, it's a big box with no other function. If this were a 10 point scale, I'd give it a solid 4.5. Below average, but not terrible...

should come with every pool
Rod—June 25, 2022
Ignore the reviewers who said that the basic filter was too coarse and allowed fine soil to pass --- we ordered the ultra-fine filter as a result of those reviews and found it completely unnecessary. This little vacuum is marvelous. The only reason I didn't give it 5-stars is that it arrived without the " wall-climbing foam strip" (which is also, by the way, not really crucial). The pool is cleaner than it has ever been.

Very pleased with this cleaner
Lorenzo—May 28, 2022
I have been using Polaris pressure pool sweeps for 20 years. They work ok but need regular tweaking and main tinence too perform well and even then, they are good but not great. I bought the dolphin and am more than impressed. Its is silent. easier to clean out than the Polaris. It traps smaller particles than the Polaris. I disconnected my pressure pump altogether which means no more pool pump noise. I use a quiet variable speed for my main pump. No booster pump means I am using a fraction of the power which equals a fraction of the operating costs. I ran my Polaris for several hours per day. I have an automatic cover and only need to run the dolphin 3 hours per week to keep my pool cleaner than it has ever been. The Dolphin is not perfect at cleaning the steps and bench, but does a better job than the pressure pump. I was amazed to see that the dolphin does actually clean the waterline tile. I wish I had switched to the dolphin years ago.

This machine has done what it has supposed to do, clean. It is light weight, easy to move in and out of the pool and easy to clean. My biggest complaint is how bad the cable gets twisted. Even for the lesser expensive model they could come up with a way to improve or stop the problem. I have only used it a few times so an update be in the future.

We got this for our 27ft round above ground pool. It does clean pretty good but the best part is that it’s super easy to clean the filter in it and literally we put it in the pool, do other stuff around the house we need to do and then take it out later. If you put cotton balls in it’s filter it grabs some really small stuff. It was pricey but overall we’re happy with it after 3 weeks!

This pool cleaner is fantastic! Easy to use and clean. The unit is Light weight with great cleaning abilities and good suction. It runs off of AC power so you don’t have to worry about recharging batteries. The power cord for the unit is long enough to take care of a 40’ x 20’ pool. The unit is strong enough to clean the 12’ deep end of the pool and move up to the 3’ shallow end. The suction is so good it picks up the small debris and even some small rocks. The unit is a great buy!

This Dolphin Nautilus Robo pool cleaner is by far the best purchase for our pool I have ever made! Our pool is 33 feet long and the Dolphin cleaner is made for that size. Our pool has never been more clean and my pool cleaning labor was 98% eliminated! Drop the device in the pool, touch the start button and that is it! 2 hrs later the device stops and waits at bottom of pool until you are ready to pull in(that is my 2%). My total labor after that is to rinse the filter and put it away. I have never been more happy with a purchase. This device cleans the bottom and scrubs the sides! 1000 atta boys!

Pretty good cleaner
Francis Wright III—May 6, 2021
I'm mainly going to compare this to my old Pentair pressure-side cleaner because that's what I replaced. Here in Texas we had a record freeze and like many here, my home suffered some damage including the pool cleaner booster pump which split in half. The replacement pump was either out-of-stock or outrageously priced due to the widespread freeze damage and resultant price gouging. After months without a cleaner and still no availability in sight, I looked for an alternative and came across this one. I've had it in use a little over a month now and mostly like it. It's pretty basic, there's no programming and it doesn't learn the shape of your pool or anything. It's slow, but over time it does get the job done. It doesn't have a huge capacity like my old Pentair did so it needs to be cleaned out every day or two. But it's pretty easy to remove the basket to clean. The most annoying part about it is that it tends to go clockwise most of the time. The reason that's annoying is it kinks up the power cord if you don't "unwind" it on a regular basis. My Pentair had pivot connections in the line so it was impossible for it to get twisted up like this. So every couple of days I have to go out there, lift it to the surface and spin it counter-clockwise 10 times to unwind it. Also it is better at maintaining a clean pool than it is cleaning a dirty one. After having gone months without a cleaner my pool was pretty dirty. I scooped most of it out with a net, it took the cleaner a solid week of running it twice a day to get the rest cleaned up. Once the pool was pretty clean though, the cleaner does a nice job of keeping it that way. I get a lot of sandy dirt in my pool because I have a natural stone waterfall and grotto. This cleaner does a better job of cleaning it up then the old Pentair did. For me that's where it really shines. So far it's been very reliable. I run it every two days and leave it in the pool all the time. Hopefully it'll give me years of reliable service.

Good for occasional use
Shockerfx—July 27, 2022
I like that the product can be used when needed and the price is very reasonable. Vacuum function works just fine. However, there are few things I do not like: (1) The cord gets tangled all the time and the robot effectively can reach only half the length of the cord. I end up repositioning the robot 3-4 times to ensure the entire pool is cleaned. (2) It is a pain to detangle the cord and it never does retains the original form. (3) I do not like to plug in, use, store every time I want to use the robot. Wish I could just leave it by the deck. I bought this robot because my booster pump burnt and my Polaris cleaner needed full repair. To save money, I ended up buying the robot. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably buy a better model where the cord does not get tangled or I would invest the money and replace the booster pump and stay with the proven Polaris.

This thing really sucks
David DeMoss—June 12, 2022
The media could not be loaded. So far this little robot is a winner. My pool was a sloppy mess with all kinds is grime and leaves and dead bugs. This is about the 4th cycle I've ran it. It just keeps plugging away. It expels water, as it filters it, with so much power. It really gets the water moving around, and gets more garbage up off the bottom, so it can be sucked out by the skimmer. As you can see, it does a great job climbing the walls of our aboveground pool. You can also see that it sucks up huge leaves and very fine dead algae. Tomorrow we are going to use the regular pole vacuum to help the dolphin out. Once we get the bottom and sides nice and clean, the dolphin will serve us 2 fold purpose of keeping things out of the pool and keep the water circulating.

Getting the caddy and cover was totally worth it. It makes it easier to take care of when we aren’t using it. We’ve only had to manual vacuum a couple times since we got it, which is only because of the really fine particles it couldn’t get. We love it!

My young Dallas Cowboys fan named our bot Emmitt because nothing gets in its way! We have a 16x24 rectangular above ground Kayak pool, and this guy covers it all. The floor of our pool doesn't get too dirty, or so I thought. This guy picks up all sorts of stuff that the naked eye could not even see. Saves me the headache of having to manually vacuum the pool, which when you're doing it by yourself involves a few trips up and down the stairs. Now I can just sit back and watch, which is very calming! I love that it climbs the walls and cleans the water line...another thing I don't have to do!

Mj—July 18, 2022
This robot climbs walls and grabs everything. We have a 35000 gal in ground pool, covered with a pool cage. We get an occasional breeze that blows in leaves, etc. This pool cleaner takes care of anything on the bottom of the pool and walls. Unfortunately, we loose one of the tracks regularly. After replacing the tracks the problem continued. WE took it to a dealer and he said the bushings need to be replaced but he hasn't been able to get any from Maytronics. Nor his distributor. In fact, he is not recommending them any longer as too many people have the same problem and cannot get parts. I've reached out to Maytronics and am not satisfied that they can help. I gave them the serial number to my unit and still they are asking me to be more specific about what parts I need. A bushing is to clear enough? I've described the problem. Not at all confident that they will resolve problem. Seems they are stringing me along.

Good Pool Cleaner
LB—November 5, 2021
Bought this unit a 6 weeks back and have waited to rate until I could actually say something constructive so here is my review for what it is worth. I have a sports pool 3.5/6/3.5 ft deep 30 ft long 16ft wide approx 25K gallon capacity....pebble tech finish and 2 stairs Pros -cleans the pool very well -easy to clean filter -fairly light and easy to remove -no cord tangle issues (i see this in some reviews) -super easy to use Cons -unit runs for about a week then shuts off the scheduler and requires setup again -controller should be totally waterproof (water resistant not good enough) -will not clean the stairs.....still have to brush -climbs the walls sometimes but not consistently Notable items - can not figure out what cleaning program it uses....very weird on where it stops and goes but seems to keep the pool clean for now -As one reviewer stated this cleaner needs to be used for a week or so to see what it does...initially I was questioning the cleaning ability but I have to say it got the job done and continues to do so....fingers crossed -the bottom of the filter must be securely latched or the unit just blows dirt....the latch is ok but is a little cheap in design and will probably be the failure point for needing another filter unit...to be seen Overall a descent cleaner so far ....

Overheated and quit working during the second clean cycle
jam2016—March 29, 2022
When the item arrived it looked perfect and worked great too! We were thrilled to finally have a robotic pool cleaner. Mid way through the second cleaning cycle the unit stopped moving. I stood over it for a few minutes watching and still nothing was happening. I decided to turn off the power supply and when I pressed the power button, I noticed the entire unit was hot to the touch. So hot that the buttons were bubbling up! (see photos) Obviously something is defective with this unit. It worked great the first cleaning cycle, so I’m willing to chock this up to a lemon and give it another try, but I noticed in the return info it says the customer is responsible for shipping and a 20% restocking fee. No way am I paying either for their faulty product. I paid $629 just for the item to stop working 4 hours into ownership. That said, I have ordered another unit. IF the seller waives those fees and the new unit functions properly, I will update my review. ***UPDATE*** The company accepted my return of the unit and waived all fees. They were fairly responsive, but it did take a lot of back and forth communication. They initially requested I contact the manufacturer first, which told me to handle the return via the seller. At that point I documented everything via email and they accepted the return. As for the new unit, I will say I’m mostly happy. As others have said, it does get stuck on my stairs and will stay stuck until I move it. It also doesn’t seem to scan anything. It moves randomly and has missed the same spot for 3 cleaning cycles in a row now. Other than that it does a great job at picking up both large debris and sand and gets the pool clean… eventually. No issues so far with this unit overheating.

Suction isn't that powerful. But it does the job.
Keunsoo Roh—April 1, 2022
I'm using this pool cleaner robot two times a day. So far it is doing the job better than I expected. The only thing that I miss is suction power. I saw it didn't pick up some leaves on the pool floor. But it becomes minor because I can set up the cleaning schedule more often. Also it solved the blind spot issue that there are some spots that wasn't cleaned during full cleaning cycle. And the last, my pool is small but it has few steps and this robot isn't cleaning those areas at all. I had to move the cleaner by force several times to clean those areas. Now I don't need to clean the pool by myself. I'm pretty satisfied with this pool cleaner robot.

Great vacuum
andy r.—May 28, 2022
The first one we received wasn’t working properly and I can’t help but wonder if the negative reviews had the same problems we had. The vacuum wouldn’t move much and eventually stopped moving all together. I pursued a refund and was told to contact the manufacturer first for trouble shooting. I’m very glad I did because their customer service was outstanding. After a very short description of my problem I was told sounds like you have a bad unit out of the box. She sent me an email with return info and just as she said they mailed me a new unit when fed-ex scan in my return. The new one came and it works great. It picks up everything climbs the walls and hits the water line just as described. I’m very pleased with this product and the customer service I received.

My Favorite Dolphin
Bobby Graham—April 17, 2022
I purchased this girl 3.5 years ago, for my small, 5000 gallon in ground pool. I’m very pleased with the performance, especially for the price point. I feel like it was a great purchase. It goes up walls, gets the steps, works great. I have her set to clean every day. I purchased the warranty and it’s useless. Not that I actually used it. About 18 months after the purchase, I had some issues with it; turned out to be with the power source. BUT before we diagnosed the issue, I contacted the warranty people. They are hard wired to reject any and all claims. They claim they don’t have a record of the purchase of a warranty, even though it was simple to provide a copy of the Amazon invoice. They said I had to provide them with the email verification of the purchase. I finally dug up the email but by that time, I didn’t need the warranty. My only regret is purchasing the warranty! I honestly believe that they would not have covered a real issue.

After 18 Months, Has Some Flaws
E Whitt—December 26, 2021
We bought this Dolphin in April of 2020. I run the dolphin a few times a week to keep the bulk of the pool looking good and circulating the water. We live in Austin, Texas where the dolphin is exposed to the elements a few days a week and sheltered the rest of the time. Pros- Out of the box, she's pretty simple to get in the pool and start cleaning. I wanted to do a time lapse video of how she cleans, but I just don't have the heart to let my pool get too dirty. Taking out the filter and cleaning it with a hose is relatively simple and with a good nozzle, gets the filter pretty clean. It keeps the pool looking about 85% clean; as long as you don't look too closely along the edges. Cons- This unit leaves the entire ridge of the pool with accumulated fine debris/dirt. It only came with one filter that wasn't fine enough to pick up the smallest debris, so we purchased another here on Amazon for just under $100. The cord is HORRIBLY tangled which cuts what it is able to clean by about 2/3. I've tried everything I can think of to untangle the cord, to no avail. I guide the cord around an umbrella stand at the deep end to allow it to clean that end of the pool. The cord has also started to disintegrate. When I try to untangle the cord, the blue material it is made of sheds off in my hand. I am considering purchasing another cord here on Amazon, but at a price tag of $196 it makes this unit non cost efficient. I'm hoping perhaps the cord is covered under the warranty since it's still less than 2 years. The unit sometimes gets stuck on stairs and needs to be moved manually. It will climb some of the walls and not others, may be due to the tangled cord. Overall- Considering it needed a new filter and about a year in needed a new "tangle-free" cord, I would consider getting the unit that is a step above for a couple hundred dollars more. If anyone has been able to keep the cord untangled, please share how that has worked for you.

Great first pool robot!
Vik—May 30, 2018
First off, let me say that this is my first pool robot. Up to this point I have never considered them because they were kinda expensive. I think that with competition, the price has now fallen down to reasonable levels. Setup was very easy. The control box has a waterproof connector that is low power going to the robot itself via a floating power cable. This cable can get tangled, but the robot does a good job of keeping that from happening. I've never seen it get constrained from reaching any part of the pool because of the power cord (with or without the pool cover on). There is a bluetooth connection icon on the box but that doesn't work with the Nautilus CC, apparently it is for a more expensive model. This was kind of a disappointment. A big reason I like the Dolphin CC is because it filters the vacuumed water for you with a very fine filter. This is in contrast to pressure-side pool sweeps like the Polaris which basically just blast the water through a bag that is not very fine. This process also keeps the silt and other things from reaching your pool filter and clogging it up. The Dolphin CC also has local intelligence (it is a robot after all...) and figures out the extents of your pool. It does this quite well but unfortunately it does not retain what it learns between runs. I find this a very surprisingly bad design. With the cost of flash memory these days, how hard would this be to add to the design? However, it generally gets to all the places in the pool, missing some corners occasionally. It does not really clean steps though it probably could with its treads. The control box has settings to allow the Dolphin to automatically run during the week, but I don't think they want you to leave it in the water all the time. I also don't think it is quite as robust as a pressure side cleaner because of internal complexity so you definitely want to remove it from the pool after each run and clean out its filter. On the positive side, this keeps your attention on the pool to check things like chlorine and other levels. Even with my Polaris, I would check it every day or so just to make sure it wasn't tangled or the bag full. The other great thing about the Nautilus CC is the power consumption. It uses a lot less power than a pressure-side pool sweep and its a lot quieter. You can run it during a normal filter cycle which is probably preferable because the very fine silt it kicks up that isn't filtered through it can then be picked up by your pool filter. I also noticed that my solar heating system worked much better since I detached the Polaris, probably because of more water flow through the system. I would recommend this robot to anyone wanting to get one to clean their pool.

Falling apart at year mark
Amazon Customer—July 20, 2022
Every week i have to fish out the wheel cover because it has fallen off. The filtration basket no longer latches either, which makes it extremely difficult to remove from the vacuum. The power source no longer lights up on function 1. It sucks to spend this much and for it to have fallen apart months before a year.

The media could not be loaded. Beginning of the year startup was looking very rough before I bought this! My Dad has one and loaned it to me for a week at the end of last summer so I had to buy one! I have a lot of trees around my yard/pool. I have so much stuff falling in my pool that I sometimes run it twice a day but it works great! Saves SO much time. I hope it last several years but I will buy another as soon as this one fails because it would take several hours of brushing and cleaning to equal what this does every day. The removable basket with replaceable filters is a great addition too and makes cleaning the vacuum easy! My pool is 22’ round x54” tall above ground pool and it climbs the walls pretty well!

BEST PURCHASE EVER
Shawn L.—November 24, 2018
I have been trying to convince myself that the expense of a robotic pool cleaner was worth it. After my 3rd year of being a pool owner and lugging out the manual vacuum, pole, hose, submerging the hose, fussing with the pump I finally broke down and bought this one. OMG I love it. You drop it in the pool, turn it on and it runs and picks up everything on the bottom of the pool. Our deep end is 8' and it will be all the way at the bottom and crawl all the way to the water line. It is pretty amazing. I can sit and watch it work for hours (ok thats an exaggeration but still) as it is very interesting how it creeps around the pool in what seems like a haphazard formation but in about 2 hours there is not a single leaf or speck of dirt anywhere on the pool. The control box sits easily under a bush and you can set it to run automatically daily, every other day or every 3 days. The filter container is amazing at filtering out the smallest of sand particles. Im amazed every time I pull it up to clean it out that there is so much sand in the basket. We have recently put the solar cover on the pool for our "cold Florida winter" and I was curious how it would work with the cover and crawling up to the water line but it has not had any problem. I do not have any issues with the Dolphin at all. I have to say it was money very well spent thus far. I have not had to lug out the old vacuum since I bought it. Update as nearing our 2nd year with the Dolphin: It still runs and cleans great. No issues at all. its starting to get a little discolored and scratched up but its 2 years old and spend nearly 100% of its life in a chlorinated pool so I would expect it to fade out. Only issue is that one of the rubber treads keeps coming off. I think it has stretched out a little and somehow it comes off. I don't understand how since i have to really tug on it to get it back on so not sure how it just pops off. It doesn't happen all the time so its not a huge deal and i can put it back on. It continues to run and work just as good with just 1 track, it may not climb as far up the wall but it still works. Still well worth the money to not have had to spend saturday mornings out in the sun manually vacuuming up the pool.

A great pool cleaning buddy
DevilDawgDad—July 9, 2022
The media could not be loaded. Our only complaint is the control show the blue tooth symbol but is not compatible on this model. After that, it is all positive. This tool is mesmerizing to watch. We call it flipper because it flits around doing its thing and then pops up to look around while cleaning the water line. We would highly recommend this. As we age not having to scrub the pool is a blessing. Well worth the money. The Caddy is wonderful to use and move around the unit. East to clean and care for.

Ryan D—June 10, 2022
I was hesitant to spend this amount of money on a pool cleaner that was not bluetooth enabled. I also did not want to spend $1,400 on a cleaner. I was using a Kreepy Krawler Great White cleaner but tired of hooking it up to my pump and filter every time I had to clean the pool. After doing some research I went with the Nautilus CC pool cleaner and could not be happier. I have only used it a few times but so far this thing sucks all the debris off the bottom and sides of my pool in about 2-3 hours. I have a 40'x20' pool and this thing does the job!

I just got this vacuum today after doing a bit of research. I was hesitant due to the price, but I’m glad I bought it. It’s extremely easy to use. You literally take it out of the box, put it in the pool, plug it in, and push the button to turn it on, that’s it. It doesn’t need to hook onto the filter or anything. I have an in-ground pool, split into shallow and deep ends by a decline, with vinyl liner and it did a great job with it. It doesn’t climb the walls high enough to reach the water-line, but I don’t care. Well worth the money.

Cleans the pool really well, worth the money!
Amazon Customer—July 7, 2022
Our pool has never been so clean. This picks up leaves, sticks, dirt, anything, and prevents algae from growing on pool walls. It climbs walls and scrubs all the way to the top. I empty the basket once a week, the basket is huge. If you don’t have too many leaves that get in your pool you could empty it less often. We’ve had the robot more than a year, and still works like the first day we got it.

The media could not be loaded. Meet Dory! My new best friend! First time to own a robot pool cleaner and I wish I had taken the plunge years ago! A pool adds a lot to maintaining a home and I’m not getting any younger! This little girl saves me time and backaches by keeping the bottom and sides of my 8’ deep inground pool spotless! She has met and exceeded my expectations! To the few who complain about still having to sweep their steps or skim leaves off the top, I say Whats the big deal? That’s easy! I also didn’t throw her into a swamp and expect miracles. As for some complaints of the front lifting off the bottom when she takes off, remember everything is weightless in the water. She settles down and gets to work. Get over it. (And FYI- adding chemicals is still the human’s job) Granted, I’ve only had her for a week, but from what I can see, if I do my part she will definitely do her part! ❤️

30 foot diameter, 52inch, above ground pool. Works great, would liked to have gotten the CC Pro, but misread the advertisement when buying. It does not appear to work with the app, and pretty much is just put in the pool, plug it in and push the button. Highly recommend buying the "fine filter". The filter that comes with it, does a pretty good job, but the "fine filter" picks up even the smallest powdery sediment. Some reviews say that it does not climb the walls, but it climbs my pool walls with apparent ease. Super Product!

Natural Sophisticate—April 25, 2022
I can’t believe I waited this long. I researched and researched and thought about it. We had a Zodiac MX6 suction that had worked sometimes-more often not moving and got stuck on the main drain. We have an open pool and lots of trees. This picked up leaves, dirt and undissolved particles and kept going. My hesitation with this model was that it is recommend that you take it out of the pool after each use and clean the filter whereas my old zodiac could stay in the pool and was automatic (was attached to skimmer). But it is not much of a hassle as I thought it would be. It cleans the pool so much better- 10/10! Do yourself and your pool a favor-buy it. I purchased the caddy but still have not put it together. Will update if any concerns.

Works great with a few minor issues
Corey—March 30, 2020
I wish I could give out half stars, this is for sure a 4.5 star product and not a 4. First the good, this thing does a great job of covering the whole pool, going over sections repeatedly so that it might grab things that was moved about in the pool current. The container for all the dirt and debris is fairy large and easy to remove. However, while spraying the container out, sometimes its rather hard to get out the finer gunk and dirt, you have to turn it at various angles to get it to somehow come out. You're going to get wet doing this, you might as well just go ahead and go all in and do it right. Pulling the dolphin from the pool is both super easy but is also one of the flaws. To get the device out of the pool you pull on the cord until it gets to the surface, and then pick it up via the handle. I can only imagine after so long of hauling it from the water via the electric cable, it will eventually have an issue at the connection points. I hope they looked ahead on this and strengthened it. As soon as you lift it up (even with water in it, its easy to lift), water comes quickly draining out. The biggest issue I have with the whole setup is the controller system. Why in the world would you design such an expensive system to run on a serious of basically unlabeled buttons and lights? People lose their instructions, it happens all the time. These should be easily distinguishable to keep the guess work out of the process. One additional flaw is that it doesn't seem to clean well on curved walls, for those of you with odd shaped pools, and it doesn't like to hit narrow stairs. If the stairs are about the same width or smaller than the Dolphin, it just skips right over it. I just brush the stairs real quick on each use and chalk it up to nothing being perfect. Overall though, in my short time of owning this Dolphin, I've been extremely happy with it.

Day 1 review
TyWebb—April 14, 2022
Context, I bought this to clean our 8,000-gallon hot tub/swim jet pool and overflow catch basin. Will not use in our 40,000, 10ft deep pool. The initial reaction was surprised by the size. It is larger and heavier than I had expected. Unboxed and dropped in the 8,000-gallon hot tub/swim jet pool and it worked flawlessly! It covered the entire bottom, climbed the sides and captured everything within 45 minutes. IF it continues to perform at this level it will save me 60-90 minutes per week as that is how long it took me to clean these two bodies of water. Also purchased with the stand/storage unit and cover. The directions on the stand/storage unit are garbage but manageable. The cover is ok but could be a little longer as it comes in a little short after you connect the velcro staps that holds in on the stand.

Very happy. So far, I'm impressed.
Bobby—May 9, 2020
I've had this product since May 4th. So far I have ran it everyday. I've had it six days now. So far so good. I'm very happy. If this product continues to perform the way it has been doing, I'll give it five stars. The first day I put the machine in, the pool was visibly dirty with debris, leaves, and algae. It performed well. It cleaned the algae as you can see the path the machine was taking to clean the pool. In the first two hours it picked up leaves and algae. Quite a bit of stuff. I cleaned out the basket and put the machine back in the pool to go for another 2 hours because it did not pick up all the leaves. Cleaned the basket again and put it in for a 3rd round. So after 6 hours, it finally had my pool clean. Since that first 6 hours of work, I put the machine in for two hours a day and it has continued to keep my pool clean. Very happy. On a side note, my pool is old and the only way for me to clean my pool is to use the skimmer with a manual vacuum. I have no suction at the bottom of my pool. Only the skimmer. So it puts a lot of work on the pool filter and me. So, the nautilus cc is helping me out tremendously. One more thing, I do help the machine by brushing the walls of my pool. I don't think it needs help because it does climb the walls with no problem. So there you have it. Thumbs up so far. Adding to this review it's been 5 weeks. I would like to say, I'm still happy with the Nautilus CCs performance. I run it everyday for 2 to 4 hours a day. It continues to scrub the bottom floor and the walls with no problem. I hope it continues to do the same thing. It's a work horse for me.

Works Great!!!
Post Oak—December 2, 2019
About as good as it gets. I previously had a Pentair Racer pressure side cleaner, which I hated for too many reasons to list. Pressure and suction side cleaners are 1960 technology. The Dolphin cleaner is far superior. I have had it for about 4 months and no major complaints. It cleans far better than my previous cleaner. Contrary to what others say it does pickup significant amounts of sand but not extremely fine sand. I had planned to order the fine filters but after using I do not want them. The filter catches sand and finer filtration would just clog sooner. I live in a forest with oak trees all around. It picks up leaves and acorns very well. Cleaning is easy. It has a large basket which was a main selling point, compared to the smaller basket of the plus model. The basket holds a lot of leaves and debris. Like others said you might get a little wet when spraying but it is no big deal. I knew I did not want to set the power supply out each use so I ordered the cord components and made an extended tether cord so I just leave it in the pool. I made a weather proof receptacle next to the pool, ran a 12 gauge wire in conduit underground and into the garage where I mounted the power supply permanently and plugged into a GFCI. 12 AWG wire is an overkill for the 30 vdc 4 amps but I wanted to ensure resistance gain was not an issue. It works great. Of course, like the manufacturer, I would advise against this due to numerous installation variables. The only drawback is the cord does get twisted a few turns. I would not describe as a tangle, but a few visible twists. After 3 to 7 cleaning I pull it out for cleaning and untwist the cord. Easy to do but the swivel would have been a nice feature, assuming the swivel actually works. It is large so it will not get into one tight area of my pool. It climbs well and has never gotten stuck. I wish I would have had this 4 years ago and not had the Pentair piece of crap. I will update as I accrue more use.

After just a week, I'm already amazed at how much better my pool looks.
Joseph Martino—April 20, 2022
I have an older pool, and for a multitude of reasons it's not so easy to keep looking great. The Dolphin has literally cleared up any last bit of haze or sediment that my Hayward pump / filter simply is not filtering. Based on the length of the cord on this version of the Dolphin (I drop in basically at the middle edge of my pool that's 35 foot long), this thing can reach every inch which my now trashed hosed vacuum was not able to do. Because of the Dolphin, long term maintenance and keeping algae away will be easier and cheaper, this purchase will probably pay for itself over time, well worth the price. I would almost go as far as saying the more deluxe versions offered by Maytronics are probably worth their cost as well.

Works, but not the best - good value for the price.
Peter T.—August 25, 2021
After 20+ years of cleaning the pool myself, I decided to spring for a robotic vacuum system. I researched all the different brands, and decided that the Dolphin brand was well respected and consistently got high reviews. I have a couple issues that kept me from giving a five star review. First, it's not great at climbing the walls. Sometimes when it goes up to the waterline, it will just lose its grip (suction?), and fall to the bottom of the pool. Also, it sometimes will lose suction while reversing directions, and will start to float up slightly. This causes it to miss debris at times. If I was going to purchase again, I would have bought the next model up. For that additional $125, I would have had a system that "remembers" the shape of my pool. The CC model has to relearn the shape every time it is used. Also, the debris filter/basket often gets "stuck" in the robot if there is sand in the pool. More than once, I have had to use the hose to spray out the robot before I am able to remove the basket. As the owner of an older Gunite pool, I find that the amount of sand that is in the pool to be higher than could be expected for a newer Gunite pool, or a liner or Fiberglas pool.

Love This Little Robot Cleaner
Mark F—May 21, 2022
Ordered this after getting tired of manually vacuuming pool because the water driven floor cleaner kept flying around the surface and getting stuck on corners and stairs. This cleaner does it all. Just drop it in the pool and turn it on. When the cycle is complete just lift it out and hose down the filter. The rollers really sweep the floor rather than just relying on water suction. Wish it had remote control steering so I could manually direct it to certain spots but it eventually gets everywhere on its own. Sure it's a bit pricey, but I love never having to wrestle the hose of the manual vacuum again. It's a tremendous help with my pool maintenance. Highly recommend.

It was 2 days late but worth the wait. Used yesterday in my above ground pool. And dang what a difference it made. This thing climbed the walls and cleaned pool throughout entire surface. I was skeptical about it climbing walls and not flipping. Might be a lil pricy for above ground pool but worth its weight in gold and time that I don’t have to clean pool. It’s a must have for any pool owner.Just buy it already. You will thank me later.

Awesome!
rick—June 23, 2022
Have owned pool vacuums that used the pools filter system and didn’t care for them at all. This Dolphin pool vacuum is awesome! Just drop it in and push a button. This is my second year with the Dolphin and would gladly purchase the same machine if mine should fail. Based on some reviews, I bought the better filter basket. That was an unnecessary purchase. The filter basket that the unit came with works great and is much easer to clean.

Not for pools with heavy silt or algae
W. Wang—May 26, 2021
I'm a first time pool owner and still learning about pool maintenance. I read lots of reviews and decided to purchase this highly recommended pool robot for my 16'*32', 20k gallon pool. The package arrived fast and without damage. It was easy to set up and use, it was literally plug and play. Due to late closing and ripped pool cover, there was a lot of dead leaves and sediments on the bottom upon opening. I dropped the robot to the pool floor, turned the power on and let it run, took it out every hour to empty and rinse the filter tray, and repeated all that 7 times. Never once had tangled cord (I would drop enough cord into the water and the cord would float on top of the water, and leave the excess on the deck). It would periodically float on its back rollers and not vacuuming anything. It would also miss certain spots but repeatedly go over some spots, just like an indoor robotic floor vacuum. The robot did a great job picking up leaves and larger sand-like particles, but not fine sediments like silt or algae. See picture. So I'm going to buy a handheld battery-operated vacuum and try to get all that out (as opposed to a manual hose vacuum because I do not want all that sediment to go through my DE filter). Alternatively, you could also upgrade to an ultra fine filter for $80 (filter#9991460-R1). Overall, this is a great machine for your weekly maintenance, but not so great if your pool has lots of fine sediments on the bottom.

Makes my pool spotless
Amazon Customer—July 3, 2020
I tried many different suction type pool cleaners over the years and they were all pretty much terrible. The Dolphin Nautilus CC is amazing! I don't have a huge pool, probably about 30 feet long and 15 feet wide. It is only about 5 feet deep in the center. The robot cleans the floor beautifully and even does the walls. Obviously, it doesn't really get the steps, but they just need a quick brush with my pole and brush attachment. Usually, I can get away with running the robot one day per week. I'll run a cycle Saturday morning, clean the filter basket, and then run another cycle. This thing picks up leaves and all the dirt. The basket is actually very easy to clean, just needs a quick hose off. I don't leave it in the pool all the time. Always take it out when I'm done and put it in a storage box with the power supply. The cord does not really get tangled up at all. It will get a little twisted by the time the cycle is finished, but it has never been a problem. I just make sure it's straight each time I put it in the pool. The robot worked perfectly for over 3 years and then something gave out on it. Power supply would turn on and then turn back off. I got the extra warranty that Amazon offered through Square Trade and boy am I happy I did. They had me pack it up and ship it to them for repair. (They paid for shipping) They determined the robot could not be fixed and sent me reimbursement check for the full amount I paid. I immediately ordered a new one from Amazon when I got my check. Also ordered the warranty again. I could not be happier with the performance of the Nautilus CC, or the warranty process/outcome. If you're still using one of the suction type cleaners and are on the fence about getting a robot for your pool....... I would highly recommend the Dolphin Nautilus CC. It is by far the best cleaner I've ever used and my pool loves it.

Our previous vacuum bit the dust and so by the time we got this new one, our pool had been neglected. It took a few run throughs but these before and after pics don't lie! (The "dirty" pics were 6/4/22 when we received the vacuum and first put it in; The two "clean" pics are 6/9/22 after it had been run a few times.) It's amazing that we don't have to be out there. Just plug it in and walk away! Truly amazing! Definitely worth the money!

Owned three (3) Dolphin pool cleaners
Texas D—June 10, 2022
These things seem to last about 4 years and quit. I purchased the less expensive model sweep and like the basket much better than the module with 4 screens. The basket holds more debris and is much easier to clean. The feature to set the frequency of cleaning rather than having to initiate daily is a great feature. This sweep doesn't seem to cover the pool floor as thoroughly as previous sweeps.....but I can live with it. The autumn leaf drop will provide a better test.

Great for kidney shaped fiberglass
Erica non-fiction junkie—May 27, 2022
We have a kidney shaped fiberglass pool with a built in ledge and seats…we get a lot of sand and tiny pieces of bark in our pool. We do brush the seats and ledge so that debris is on the pool floor. This thing picks up all the nitty gritty and hits all spots on the pool bottom. Super easy to clean and we are very pleased. We tried a different cheaper vacuum before this and sent it back because it was not ideal for a pool with curves. However this vacuum is it. Highly recommend.

Lisa Haehle—June 24, 2022
We have an original Dolphin and it has worked great. We decided to buy a newer version. It is lighter and more convenient to empty. They say the cart is universal but our older cart doesn't work with this new version. I wouldn't have a pool without this automatic cleaner. Best part is it doesn't go through your pools filter so no need to backwash when you clean the pool. Plus in my book.

Works Great
Jimmy Gupta—August 27, 2021
Great product. Turn it on and it works right away. Pros: I used to use a booster pump and water powered cleaner. The electric one uses much less energy, is quiet and I can run any time (main pool pump doesn't have to be running). I don't like having the cord out but I just put it away when guests come over. Cons: There are a bunch of dolphin phone apps and I never bothered to figure out which one to use so I never used that feature. I think they could make that part easier. I just go out and hit the start button like once a day. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I bought this and it controller stopped working after 2 weeks. I returned to Amazon and got a new one and this one has been working for over 2 months. I probably just got a bad original unit. I would have just returned it if I didn't think it was that good.

Shelia Gunter—May 30, 2022
We received our Dolphin Nautilus CC Automatic Robo Vacuum on Thursday and placed it in the pool immediately. The pool had a build up of leaves from the winter despite having a cover. I was skeptical that the vacuum would work efficiently but wow was I in for a surprise! This vacuum worked like a champ. It’s easy to clean and efficient to run. Over the next three days, I ran it approximately 7-8 times and the pool is spotless!! Clean the basket, hose off the vacuum and it ready for its next trip to the pool!

This is my second Dolphin. They work great for about 2-2.5 years and then crap out. The first one was still under warranty, so I took it to the local authorized dealer for repair (Pinch-a-Penny) about three times before I finally gave up. Now after 2 years and 5 months, the second one has now died as well.

Some Functions on this panel do not work
David Switzer—July 13, 2022
I really like how clean this thing makes my pool. It buys me a lot of time back for other things. The only part that I do not like is that I wanted the app and Bluetooth and the Rapid Clean buttons to work. After opening the box and putting into operation I spent several hours trying to find the app that was supposed to work and also tried for 30 minutes in vain trying to get Bluetooth and Rapid Clean to work. The bottom line is that they do not work and the app does not connect because Bluetooth does not.

First day first impression
SDF Jasper—April 30, 2022
We received our pool cleaner a day early which was yesterday. This morning I took it out to the pool and unboxed everything which arrived in perfect condition. The instructions were super easy to follow. Within 15 minutes I was dropping our Nautilis into the pool and turned it on. It performed very well the first day. I was extremely happy with the cleaning that it did because there were several areas where debris had concentrated just from the flow of water and our pool is now spotless. It took two hours approximately runtime and when I went back to check it it had parked itself and the pool was spotless. So far I am very happy with this purchase.

Buyer beware of return policy
Charles Peterson—May 5, 2022
Overall like this unit but after about 20 days of used the track started coming off so called up the company and they basically told me to take it to a warranty depot. Also I could return it which I thought might be the better option since something shouldn’t break after 20 days Unfortunately this poor company that sold us as well as many others have huge restocking fees 50% or more in some cases so essentially if you buy one of these units you may be stuck with it even if it has problems and you don’t like it I feel my pool cleaner is going to have some problems but I’ll have to just deal with repairing it I would’ve preferred to switch it for a different unit In retrospect on pool cleaners the ones with tracks seem like they’re going to be good but if the tracks roll off like you’re old toys you had when you were a kid then the smarter move it is to buy one with four wheels not tracks

Works great but doesn't last long
Eugene Goch—July 1, 2022
Bought one before & it did a good job for the 3 1/2 months it was in use. When I went to use it again the next season, it worked for a few weeks and then stopped. Contacted the seller but they said it was over a year old so nothing the could do. Well, in calendar years it was, but in actual use it was only about 6 months old. I wish there was a better way to calculate the use time not the calendar time so I would have been able to get some satisfaction. Good product but wasn't reliable for me for the price -- didn't last long.

Bought this for in between pool man as I have a lot of leaves. Never thought the first time using would be after tropical storm. Picked up all the leaves and a whole lot of sand. Will still keep pool man as someone has to check chemicals, yet this was a great purchase! Didn’t go up stairs, but did spend time on swim out. Didn’t go up all walls, and that’s why I keep pool man. So far, great purchase. Just what I needed!

I'm very impressed with this pool cleaner!
Robert P Stabell—December 25, 2021
I left the pool unattended for five days. Leaves, worms, and dirt had accumulated in the bottom of the pool. I used to scoop most of them out before using my old pool cleaner because they were such a pain to clean out of the filter bag. I threw caution to the wind and put the Dolphin in the pool and left. Two hours later I came back and found only two leaves in the pool. Excellent! And the Dolphin has a basket that is much easier to clean. Just pop it out and spray it out with a hose. No fuss, no muss. So far I am very impressed with my DOLPHIN Nautilus CC Automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner. I would also like to note that with my old pool cleaner I would have to check on it every 20 minutes or so because it would get stuck on the drain and then spin which would tangle up the cord. The cord has actually broken a couple of times because of this but, the Dolphin has no problem with the drain... it just zooms right over it and keeps on going! No more tangles! Love it!

I had just purchased an aiper seagull 1000 and immediately sent it back. The thing would not pick up anything! After researching reviews I decided on this. It did not disappoint! Do not waste your money on cheaper cleaners if you have a lot of debris like me. It gets large leaves and also goes up the sides to clean as well. I think any dolphin product would be good. The cord did not tangle. It did go up on its end when it was turning around but did not stay that way long. Best pool purchase so far!

Great but have to use the box
K Vander Hyde—February 16, 2022
Great product cleans well, and goes up walls. Seems to miss some dirt, but It usually gets the dirt on the next cleaning. Nice size basket, so don't have to clean it out everyday. This version doesn't have any remote control or Bluetooth so the only choices you have are daily, (at the time you turn it on) every other day, or every third day. One other restriction is that you have to put it near a plug as the power supply only has a 6 ft power cord, so pretty restrictive.

Worth the money!
jasmyn—March 18, 2021
I definitely have to give this cleaner 5 stars! Tell you why - last summer I purchased an 18x33 above ground pool. I THOUGHT that I would be able to get away with a cheaper cleaner - the ones that you have to attach to the skimmer and it uses suction to move around the pool?! I figured a little $100 cleaner would do the trick. Lol Nope. Wrong. After doing extensive research on multiple cleaners I decided on this one. I read the reviews and bc another buyer had the same size pool as mine, I figured, “why not?!” Well—- I can DEFINITELY say it was worth EVERY penny and it’s only been like... 2 or 3 days since I got it. In October 2020, two little children decided they were going to throw 2 big chunks of mud into the pool (We were having dirt work done in the yard) and I haven’t been able to get it out ever since. My pool has been a mess. The mud settled to the bottom, but THANKFULLY the pool water stayed clear. I was still never able to get the mud out no matter what I used. BUT THEN- I get this little guy in a couple of days ago, and when I tell you he’s sucking up ALL the leaves and gunk that was collecting at the bottom - I mean it! I even purchased the ultra fine filter other users were raving about - and even tho it hasn’t come in yet, the standard filter is STILL getting the job done! I’m super excited and super satisfied!

I had my robotic pool vacuum delivered yesterday and it was like Christmas. I was very excited to try this pool vacuum out. It was very easy to set up, I placed it in the pool, hooked up the power and turned it on and it started working right away. It’s seems to be doing an okay job but I find that it will hover with its rear end up just spinning its wheels. Again I don’t know if this is normal. I cleaned the filter after letting it run two cycles and I was a bit shocked to find a unknown piece of the machine in the impeller discharge. Again I don’t know if it will operate ok with this piece broken off but I just purchased this item and hope that after two cycles it wouldn’t already be breaking apart. I am absolutely certain this strange piece of plastic is not to my pool or random object picked up by the vacuum since it wasn’t in the filter basket but in the top portion where the water discharges from the top. If the company can reach out and assure me that since is not a vital piece or send me a replacement vacuum I would greatly appreciate the assurance of dropping over $600 on a pool vacuum.

I no longer manually clean the pool
Julie Horan—June 15, 2021
I really enjoy this robot and wish we would have purchased him sooner. I typically run him 4-5x a week, right when I wake up, and have him run 2 cycles to get up a majority of the debris. Since the robots cleaning pattern is random, one cleaning cycle tends to leave a lot of untouched spots. He is able to go up some walls, but other walls and the stairs he can't do at all. Due to this, I still need to brush many areas of the pool that it seems the robot just keeps missing. I am able to get a better clean manually vacuuming the pool, but using the robot saves me 45-60 minutes which I think is move than worth it. I have not manually cleaned the pool since we made this purchase. I am looking into the ultra fine filter in hopes to capture more of the fine debris. If I was to do it again, I would have purchased a model that can map my pool so I didn't have to always run him twice.

R2D2 works great!
M. Murphy—June 13, 2022
This cleaner is excellent, it does a great job. The only thing we have found that is unusual is, when it completes its cycle, it can leave a little pile of dirt where it stopped. We just start another cycle, which sucks the dirt right up, then shut it down & remove it from the pool.

Dolphin pool cleaner fan!
Kindle Customer—May 1, 2019
I have operated many commercial pools using Dolphin pool vacuums. When it came to buying a home pool unit I knew I wanted, a Dolphin. This unit is perfect for my 20x40 pool. The cord says15 meters (30 feet) but by placing the power unit mid pool means it can cover the whole pool. I own one of those pressure cleaners I just put by the by the sidewalk for free. They do not do the job a Dolphin will do and it will cost you less. I have been using my Dolphin now for several weeks and it cleans it perfectly. We have had a lot of rain, wind and debris and sometimes I have to run the unit twice to get all the organic matter cleaned up but the Dolphin is perfect. Easy to clean, easy to operate and does a bang up job. I still sweep my stairs and the sidewalks once in while. I don’t expect the Dolphin to do that. I have never had a pool cleaner (even the $13,000 dollar commercial Weda Pool Commercial pool cleaner didn’t do that) Having a clean pool means your chlorine works better and you won’t get algae growth. Organic materials on the bottom of your pool are bad for its health. Dolphin sorts my pool out. Take care of your “blue brain cord(bbc)”. When putting your unit in the pool also put all the bbc in the pool. Make sure there are no tangles in the bbc for best performance. When done I recommend disconnecting from the power unit and untwisting your cord. Do not allow anyone to bend or cause abrasions to the bbc or the connector to the power unit. Don’t leave it on tour pool all day or overnight it will cause damage to the bbc as well. Clean thoroughly each use and store in a shaded place. Sun and chlorine will age your bbc and the unit. Keep your unit clean and it should keep your pool happy. I wish it had a separate cord to pull on for removal from the pool. I don’t like having to pull on the bbc. Eventually that could be problematic so I’m going to sort out a resolution.

This thing is a work horse. We had a serious problem with “pebble tech”. , (loose pebbles from the pool sides) gathering on the bottom of the pool. It took many sweeps, but the pool is really looking and feeling good again.

Easy setup and easy to use! Does a great job cleaning the pool. We made the move from a Polaris 380, which we had for over 12 years when the pump died. We thought the Polaris did a good job until we purchased the Dolphin Nautilus CC. We’ve only had it a few weeks, no issues right now!

I have had a Polaris 380 for years and as the years went by, the hose would keep getting tangled. I purchased robotic cleaner a month ago and absolutely love it. It is so easy and does a great job sucking all the debris in the pool. I wish I would have bought it years ago.

Perfect little robot vacuum!
Leandra Lockwood-Toronto—May 20, 2022
We were looking for a vacuum that could handle the leaves, twigs and other tree debris that finds its way into our pool. With the basket filter, this little guy - we named him Jarvis - is perfect! Our pool is 36 x18 and I was unsure if the length of the cord would be long enough. We place the power supply toward the center of the pool and have lots of extra length, not one tangle.

Exactly what I wanted
Katrina Fortunato—June 5, 2019
I own a large inground pool & am so happy to have purchased the Nautilus CC. It cut the time I had to spend vacuuming the pool, cleaning the filter, etc.. more than in half. The first vacuum I owned lasted exactly 1.5 years, right when the warranty expired, so to be on the save side, I purchased the extended warranty, too. Customer service is outstanding, I owned the Nautilus CC for not even one month when my sister & kids came for a visit, memorial day weekend. Her kids were in the pool for not even 10 minutes when they accidentally pulled the power supply into the water ( we can't pick family, right?) I emailed customer support & received an email back saying that I should call the 1-800 number instead, due to high customer volume. I called & explained to the very friendly representative what had happened & was pleasantly surprised when he informed me that they will send a new power supply box right away - free of charge - even shipping was for free!!! I asked a second time - " it's really for free, even though it was my fault?" The answer was "yes" again & I received the item 3 days after calling. Because I read previous reviews, I was aware that it would come without power cable. All together, the nautilus CC does exactly what it is supposed to do - I wasn't too impressed for the first week, as the pool water was really dirty with a lot of leafes & dirt at the bottom. The filter that comes standard is best for small debris - but once the water cleared up & is blue again I am impressed by the filter, also - I own a chocolate lab & a golden retriever who can't resist jumping into the water any chance they get & the vacuum even sucks up the dog hair & gets trapped in the filter!! Overall, it is a great purchase, especially for the price! I would highly recommend the Nautilus CC!

Easy and Effective
D. Harris—July 20, 2021
I was skeptical when my wife wanted to buy one of these - we have always cleaned the pool by hand, and while tedious, I knew it would be 100% clean when we were done. I finally gave in this summer (after 20 years!). This unit was bigger than I expected, but it was also a lot lighter than I thought it would be. Very easy to set up, as long as you have a power source nearby. Plug it in, unspool the power cord (which floats and is very flexible), and drop the little "tank" into the pool. Turn the power on with the control box, and away it goes. It has a very powerful vacuum, and has the ability to climb a five foot wall, and even push up against the lip of the pool. (This allows it to clean the curved portions at the edge of the wall.) It then reverses and heads back down to the bottom to resume its random pattern. After a couple of hours, it has picked up 99% of debris, which I am happy with. Cleaning the filter is pretty easy, as well, just pulling it out and hosing it off. It has been a nice time-saver, and is much easier than wrestling with the hose and doing it by hand. It will also reduce the amount of debris going through the pool filters, which is a plus.

Excellent product at a great price point!
K. Burns—July 12, 2021
This is my second Dolphin Nautilus. My first one lasted 8-10 years with minimal problems (replaced cord and debris basket) and performed flawlessly otherwise. This year it stopped suctioning, but still moved around the pool. Thought about troubleshooting and repairing, but decided to go with a new one based on price point. They have made some changes to design. Some I like, others not as much. I like the new top access to debris basket. The unit also seems lighter which is great for lifting out of the pool, but does cause it to occasionally “wheelie” or float a bit. Also, the cord seems just a bit shorter. I haven’t checked the measurements, but it barely reaches the far end of my pool. It does a great job cleaning my in-ground gunnite pool and I will be quite happy if it performs as well and as long as my previous one did. I generally run it every day during a 4-5 month pool season.

We first purchased the Aquabot junior. Only worked for two years. Replaced the belts and when it needed a need electrical cord, to purchase would be around 350. Super easy to use and clean!
Shantelle Vohs—July 7, 2021
I have an above ground pool. (21 x 54) This is super easy to use and clean. I have only had it a week but have used it everyday. I literally put it in my pool and let it go to work. I usually put it in for 3 hours and it picks up MOST everything. In fact, my daughter had left some glow in the dark sticks in the pool and it picked up all of them! I love how it climbs the walls and really scrubs the waterline. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because you have to buy the fine filter separate. Even though the vacuum picks up most everything, I think if I used the fine filter it would pick up even more of the dirt on the floor. As much as the vacuum costs, it should already come with this filter, just my opinion.

I’ve learned a long time ago..You get what you pay for…when it comes to these pool cleaners..Cheap out and you might get a season or 2 out of them..I went middle of the road..key is not to keep them submerged in the pool all the time..pull them out and wash them down after each cleaning..I inherited a similar pool robot from the prior owner of the house I bought..it lasted 9 years..spend anything below 400 bucks and it’s junk in my opinion..it does a great job..

Bye Bye to the Crappy Vacuum Hose
KG—February 17, 2018
After going through two pool seasons dragging around a vacuum hose in Mississippi summer heat and humidity I decided to buy a robot. Dolphin makes several models and as always, I did my homework before making this purchase. I went somewhat non-conventional with my pool - it's round gunite vs. free form, 28' with varying depth, steps, and a sun shelf. Needless to say, vacuuming by hand was something that I did not look forward to at all. I borrowed an Aquabot from a friend of mine to try out in my pool - his model was for vinyl lined pools, had wheels vs. tracks, and a bag vs. a basket. Also had no programming options. That being said, I was still impressed with how it cleaned my pool. Looking at the limitations of that robot and cursing at having to clean out the debris bag - which requires a degree in engineering to get it back on, I decided to go wit the Dolphin. Deboxing was simple, nothing to put together, basically ready to go straight out of the box. The night that I got it, it went in the pool. I ran it for two hours, and my pool was spotless. The pool mapping technology works great - you can see it in action and watching it is a great time killer (an alcoholic beverage makes it even better). This thing climbs the walls straight to the brick coping, has not gotten stuck on any edge in the pool, and picks up everything from a tiny blade of grass to large leaves. Emptying the basket is simple - quick rinse with the hose and it's back in action. The cord is plenty long for my pool with extra to spare. If I had to call anything out - the app that goes with the Bluetooth control box could be better, mine almost never connects, but honestly, I don't need it. The only other thing is retrieving it when it stops in the middle of the pool. This has only happened one time, and it's simple to pull back to the edge, but it would be cool if the mapping technology brought it back to the starting point at the end of the cycle. Overall, this little robot is awesome.

Cherrie—May 29, 2022
The Dolphin was recommended by my pool installer. I’m so glad he did! This robot works like a dream. The basket really collects and keeps the debris secured. It’s easy to clean and replace. My only advice is to make sure the basket bottom is locked before replacing it. It climbs the walls well and keeps the pool clean.

Great machine
Guyinthenextcubicleover—September 21, 2020
This is my first automatic cleaner. I've had it for about 3 weeks now. I chose this one because it operated independent of the existing plumbing. I didn't have to worry about booster pumps or any of that. Just plug it in and let it go. The cleaning cycle takes about 2 hours. I have a fiberglass pool with a ledge most of the way around the pool about three feet deep. I also have 2 seating areas and a large set of steps. The dolphin climbs the walls and navigates the ledge with no problem. I like that it scrubs the water line. It goes up the steps almost to the top one before backing down. I've seen it get 'stuck' twice by running crosswise corner of the steps so neither track is touching. It rocks a bit, and I'm pretty sure it would eventually unstick itself, but I haven't seen it happen. Here are my observations at the end of the cycle: the bottom and walls are spotless. The seats, ledge and seating areas are left with some residual dirt. Nothing big, just some dirt specks on flat surfaces. And that's good enough for me. I just brush the ledge and steps prior to running the machine and everything comes out fine.

Works great for me!
STC—March 15, 2022
Bought this pool vacuum over a year ago and was a little concerned about some of the earlier comments regarding the cord or the sturdiness. NO PROBLEM! This has been a highly serviceable tool for year-round care of my pool. Yes the cord tangles a little, especially in cold weather - just take a minute, stretch it out and re-roll. I can recommend this pool vac to anyone with a realistic view of how machines work. It's a random wanderer so once in a while it will miss a corner, but it climbs walls, steps, and angles. It has a sturdy basket that really catches the crap like a bag can't. I'm really pleased.

Best thing we ever did was buy this! Updated!
P. Adams—August 1, 2021
UPDATE: the Dolphin worked great all last season and we stored it inside the house all winter. When we went to use it this season it would not work. My husband checked the power supply and that seems to be the issue but when I emailed Amazon they said I had to contact the maytronics so I did and they told me to contact who we bought it from. After a little back and forth they gave us some trouble shooting tips but nothing worked and haven’t heard back. We ended up having to purchase another machine so our pool can st least get cleaned but to pay over $600 and get one season use is unacceptable and k will not recommend this to anyone. We love our Dolphin robot vacuum so much! I love that I can stick it in the pool and set it for 1, 2, or 3 hours and then just go do whatever I need to do (clean the house, go shopping, etc…) then I come back to spotless clean pool ready to swim! I just pull it out and cleaning it is so easy. The basket comes out and I just rinse it with the hose. We hung the control panel on the fence and covered it with plastic and we just leave it by the pool all the time. We haven’t had any issues with the unit at all and we love how it goes up the sides of the pool as well. I wish these things came with like a hose attachment for doing the pool stairs but I really have no complaints. I highly recommend this robot vacuum!

Cleans the pool well, tracks falling off.
Erich R. Klawuhn—December 5, 2021
This pool robot cleans my pool very well. I have had it for 1 year. I have a small ~12k gallon in ground pool with steep bottom transition from deep to shallow end. It climbs the walls, gets on the steps and cleans them well. Design concerns: - The tracks have started falling off in a little less than one years time. This is reported by many others. Now I am going to purchase new tracks and see how long they last. I spent a lot of money to have the tracks not covered by the warranty and need to be replaced yearly. Obviously a poor reliability design and track material. - There should be a cord swivel to prevent the cord from twisting up. I end up disconnecting from the controller to untwist the cable on a regular basis. - Why does the automatic cleaning frequency end after a week or so? Why not make it go on for ever? You need to restart the automatic cleaning about weekly. - The blinking LED blue light when it is in an automatic cleaning frequency mode is extremely bright at night and is an annoyance in my backyard. I am needing to cover the controller.

Solid pool cleaner, but don't throw out manual cleaning equipment
timothy langhorst—August 31, 2020
The Dolphin Nautilus CC Automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner 33 ft length line works well, but here are a couple of things you should know. - My pool is just at the outer lengths of how far the pool cleaner will reach (I have a 32 X 16 ft pool. So it doesn't get to all areas of the pool. I am still working on different places to start the robot cleaner to see if that makes a difference. - The robotic cleaner works quickly. Because of that, it doesn't so much as pick up all the dirt, but moves it around. So the dirt doesn't get to the filter. So I am still using my old manual system every once in a while, because I can do that more slowly, and it gets into the filter more efficiently. - While the system is light, when you go to retrieve the cleaner from the water, it has the weight of water in it also, so it is a little heavy when you are first pulling it out of the water. - Still, it reduces the number of times I have to manually clean the pool, it is easy to use. So a solid tool to use in cleaning your pool.

Keeping pool clean after adding ultra fine filter
kaner—June 25, 2018
This is my first robot vacuum. After vacuuming manually for years, it is awesome to have the robot (which my kids named Mr. McToots because of the air bubbles he makes when he climbs the wall). Mr. McToots did an okay job with his filter that came in his package. He left behind piles of fine particles in my 18 x 36 Inground pool. I purchased an ultra fine filter and that really improved his performance. To be honest, I am not sure why they did not just include the ultra fine filter with it as it picks up all the large debris as well as the smaller stuff. Mr. McToots Does a good job scrubbing. He spends about 15% of his time doing wheelies, which is not good since it takes his scrubbing brush off the pool floor. Despite this, he gets the job done. He has a hard time in the corners of the deep end of the pool. He also misses the corner in the shallow end. He does not do the stairs. This requires a few minutes of brushing, which is worth the trade off. Getting him out of the pool is easy, I just pull his cord and grab his handle at the side. He is not heavy once the water drains out. This is probably why he does his wheelies. Cleaning the filter with a hose is easy. All in all it takes about a minute to drop him in the shallow end, 2 hours for him to scrub before he shuts himself off and about 5 minutes to get him out and rinse out the fine filter. His cord does not tangle due to his programming. He is also able to work under my solar cover. I have only had Mr. McToots for a month, so I cannot speak to his longevity. All in all, Mr. McToots is a great tool to free yourself from the hassle of vacuuming if you grab the ultra fine filter.

V—June 12, 2022
Mechanically speaking, a Dolphin is better engineered than an Aquabot and is easier to clean. The drawback is that the filter basket gets clogged almost instantly and doesn't have the cleaning ability of an Aquabot with the fabric filter. I really think they should have reinforced the cord connection to the unit, as I think it won't last due to cord strain and bending. We shall see. They could have done so much better and should have for the cost of the unit.

Easy to use but not as advertised
Ron Eason—May 9, 2022
The product is very easy to use and clean which is one major item I looked for in a vacuum. Unfortunately we have a lagoon style pool with a sharp drop to the deep end and the system rarely climbs the walls. It does scrub the floor and picks up the big stuff but it also seems to just move the fine dirt around forcing me to run it multiple times. I already have to run it twice in succession to get it to reach about 80% of the pool. All in all I probably wouldn’t buy this model again based on my pool type but it does a decent job as long as I continue to brush the sides and bottom periodically and even manually vacuum every other week.

This pool robot works great! So easy to use and I don’t have to think about cleaning the pool every few days! I just cut this on and add my chemicals and go! We have had it for about two months now and no issues! The only thing it doesn’t go up and down is our steps into the pool. For that I take a large brush and brush off any sand or debris and the jets flush it to the filters.

Owned for 1 year, I can't find a complaint! I have not manually vacuumed since I bought it.
WH—July 19, 2021
We had our pool built and it finished in summer of 2020. I purchased this when the pool was still under construction and started using it immediately. I'm now 13 months into ownership and I cannot find a single complaint about it. I throw it in the pool and turn it on after every swim session and I just let it do it's thing. In 13 months I have not vacuumed the pool one single time and the pool is completely clean. The water is crystal clear and the floor is completely clean. I run it about 3-4 times per week. We pull it out when we swim and throw it back in and start it after we swim. I clean it out once a week and find all kinds of debris that I didn't even know was in the pool. We often find dropped goggles or nose blockers. This thing picks up everything. Pool is as clean as it could be and I haven't ran a manual vacuum at all. I could not be more impressed. And honestly, this is probably the best purchase I think I've ever made. Makes life so much easier. I HATE vacuuming the pool and this has completely eliminated that chore.

Bought this last year and it worked great until it stopped moving altogether after owning it for around 8 months. I called the company and after troubleshooting it was decided it had to be sent to the company's warranty repair facility costing us over $100 in UPS shipping fees. Annoying to have to pay for shipping when under warranty! Upon receipt it was quickly repaired and sent back within a few days so that part of the service was great. Cleaner works again but sometimes doesn't go 2 hours since the repair. I don't see this lasting a lot longer and if it doesn't I will try something else because spending over $600 to replace a machine that didn't last a year before needing repair really gives me pause.

But this robot has been my best purchase i am done for my pool
sergio—March 20, 2018
Amazon is about 80% my supplier for business and home stuff. I am a busy guy and almost don't have time to writte reviews on products. But this robot has been my best purchase i am done for my pool. My pump pipes lines and filtration system are too old and they don't carry the proper water pressure to put to work a conventional vacum connected to the skimmer with a hose. I try 2 unit in the past and was frustating come back with the manual vacum.Spending hours a month to keep clean the bottom of my pool. We have tree surrounding from neighbours and you know what that mean... leaves, branches , etc. I kept my hope about a robot to do this job but I was no sure to invest a thousand bucks in one. I did some math considering pumping time, chemicals expend, work time from myself keeping maintenance of the pool. And honestly this machine pay itself in one year. My pump.work at 60% than before, without leaves and external agents on the water the chemical balance is longer, no more extra clorine, algicides, etc. I use the robot every 2 days, my pool is 20,000 gallons and 2 hours every week is enough to clean everything. The guy climb the pool wall all the way up (10 feet deeper area) without problem. The suction is strong creating a down force to stick the machine to the surface is doesn't matter if is vertical or horizontal. Is like a Formula One Ferrari attached to the speed track. I only blame myself for no to have buy before. Is bluetooth connection, you can download the apps from the manufacturer website and you can operate the controls from your cell wirelessly. Is a Robot you know, It has to be like this. I have a week with him and I am happy. Works smooth, easy and intuitive operation, and cheaper that a thousand bucks with excellent features. Large capacity basket, large aperture where suction happens, no problem taking mango leaves, palm leaves, very easy disposal the garbage when done. Parts replacement accesible, and definitely this company launch this robot with features of others more expensive. Thanks guys.

Pretty Good, for big debris
Naomi & Abe—July 10, 2022
The media could not be loaded. For all the big debris in are pool it was awesome. It picked up leaves and rocks. It is not good for the corners and small dust debris in the pool. I guess you will have to spend the extra money to buy the fine filter or the upgrade to truly get a good clean.

Does not pick up dirt or algae
SZ Davies—May 19, 2022
I was so excited about this. I did a lot of research before making the purchase. I have to say I'm disappointed. It does great at pickup up leaves and larger debris, but it just kicks the dirt up off the pool floor and doesnt vaccum it. Nor does it pick up algae. I have had it for 1 week, used it 5 times, and the pool still has dirt and algae on the bottom. It just kicks it I to theater and it settles on the sheds, which it never cleans properly. I spent a lot of money for something that cant clean my pool right.

Best pool cleaner over ever had.

This is the 4th pool cleaner I’ve owned. It is the best one yet. The mesh screen basket is easy to remove and empty. It is light weight and powerful. 2 year factory warranty. Buy the extended warranty for extra protection. I would buy this again.

Awesome Vaccum
cheryl mason—April 23, 2022
This vaccum works so good, we had our inground pool for 4 years and did it by hand. So we went with the Dolphin Nautilus CC , I was worried it wouldn't climb the sides good enough. Worked like a champion. Saves a lot of time ,easy to use and pool looks great. Did not need to upgrade this one does everything. We also put it and get busy doing other things while it does all the work.

Simple to use, effective
Kent in WI—April 30, 2022
We used a Pentair robot at our previous pool. Bought another house, needed a robot. Went with the Nautilus CC, couldn't be happier. Works very well, easy to use, very easy to clean. And the caddy keeps the cables "tidy" when we're not using it. I did order a cover for the caddy, to keep rain off the controller. We are very pleased with this unit.

Kathy Kurtz—May 20, 2022
This pool cleaner arrived and it was in the pool within minutes. The pool was so green you couldn’t hardly see it. Just 3 hours later and a little chlorine the pool is sparkling. It climbs the walls, drives over drains and water outlets, it’s amazing. We should have bought this years ago.

The remote control
jim—September 9, 2022
I received this product and when my pool was put in and electric was added I put this machine in my pool I hooked it to a 4x4 cemented into the ground so it wouldn't get caught in the rain sitting in it. We have had a lot of rain and I set it to run everyday but it doesn't run like you sold it I have to go out ever day to make sure its on. If I have to go out every day and turn it on I could have gotten one in my town that I would have to do that but because you sold this to run without me having to go out is false. Not a happy camper Pam

Second one - Very Reliable
Ebran—August 18, 2020
I bough this to replace a Dolphin that was just limping this spring and brought this one in case, alas the older unit was put down. These devices are quiet do not require the separate pump and special wiring. You only open - remove any packaging materials, register the unit on line and drop into the pool. While this is running there is no need to sit and observe as it learns the layout and climbs the walls, steps and gets the bottom clean., This unit is a step down from what I had previously - cord is a bit shorter so pay attention to the size of pool and ratio to cable, don't buy a 32 ft cable for a 28 foot pool, it still has to go deep and high. The previous cord on older was 40' this one is about 33' which is fine. recommended that you check water and keep it ph balanced and chorine level right to avoid damaging the power cord. Although the instructions say no extension cord should be used, I've had use one occasionally when power access becomes an issue, avoid if you have to but make sure its well grounded and secure to not get pulled into the water -. Remove when swimming , place on a cool dry area out of the sun when not in use otherwise it will last you years. .

Love this pool vacuum
Amazon Customer—February 1, 2022
I bought this on August 2021. I absolutely love it. It is so easy to clean and the suction is great on it. I went to turn it on this morning and the power supply would not come on. I sent an email to the supplier and within minutes I received a reply back. They will be sending a new power supply to me. No hassles at all! I was ready for some too. 😂 I couldn’t believe how great their customer service is. Only one problem that I saw was the power supply is back ordered and they couldn’t give me an eta. I will add on to this once I receive it.

Vs. Polaris
Brannon Gravlee—January 16, 2022
I felt like buying this was somewhat a risk because bi know how well the Polaris works. I'll settle for good results over great results to save a few hundred dollars. That's what I got. It's just a step behind the Polaris but does the job. For $400 less this is a great choice.

So easy to use
Karen—June 13, 2021
By far the best investment I have made in a long time. Some pool vacuums I have seen hook directly up to the pump. Not what I wanted at all. I purchased the Dolphin. We absolutely love it! Takes not even 5 min to set up. We put it in the pool at the same place every time for start up. Turn it on and let it do it’s thing. The suction power is amazing. It has to be to climb the walls like it does. By the time it’s done running it’s course that pool is spotless. I did not put it in the pool at the initial startup because of obvious reasons. Super easy to remove for me but I could see maybe somebody older or with back problems have a bit of a challenge pulling it out. Probably be easier if you were in the pool and lifted it out. It’s filled with water so it is a little heavy. Cleaning it after it’s done is a breeze! Pop out the basket, hose out the filter, put it back in. Your done. Huge time saver. Love it and highly recommend!

Extremely easy to use : drop in the pool, plug it in, press a button, come back later. Has not damaged my vinyl lining and the dogs think it's fun to bark at. Can't handle the pool steps so you still have to brush those.

False advertisement
Amazon Customer—May 23, 2022
This robot comes with an advanced power supply that is useless, it is false advertisement. Save your hard earned money and buy the cheaper E10. I was so disappointed to find out that the advance features on the power supply do not work with the Cc. This is why the E10 is a Best Buy. Why we kid they put an advanced power supply in the box if you cannot use all of the features. Totally disappointed

Amazon Customer—March 7, 2020
After 4 years of hard work and a few frustrating visits to the pool store for maintenance our Polaris pressure vac, we decided to jump on board the Dolphin train. Our struggle with debris is mainly from large trees lining our back fence so this model with the large filler basket drew us in - along with the price point (everyone wants a deal, right?). We’ve had it for a week now and I’m not going to say it’s a terrible buy, but here’s what I know so far: this dolphin and I are going to have to form a working alliance. He’s super hungry for the big stuff, leaves and such. Open areas, shallow end, etc.. as long as it’s not too inconvenient. Like some housekeepers will tell you about windows, he doesn’t do corners.. nor does he even attempt to climb stairs. So it appears before I set him off on a journey, I’ll need to prep the area - sweep the dirt from the corners and stairs and probably will turn off the filter so the water is completely still while he feeds in his sluggish troll. I’m on the 4th cycle now and have given into the fact that he’s just not going to catch it all. Easy to use? Yep - lightweight, one plug, absolutely no hassle. Easy to clean, yep - that too. Do I have regrets on the purchase? Absolutely. In hindsight, I wish I wouldn’t given into the hype and just replaced my old tired Polaris with a newer model, but live and learn. I’m not returning and I will find a way to adjust to the new kid but if you’re on the edge, looking to flip the switch, walk away and return to a spotless pool worry free that matches the You Tube videos - keep looking, spend the extra $$ and search keywords ‘corners’ and ‘steps’. Happy hunting!

I Wish I'd Bought This a Year Ago!
M. Skow—July 14, 2021
We'd been debating about spending the money, but finally bit the bullet this summer. I'm tired of vacuuming our inground pool and still not getting it really clean. Our pool backs up to a treeline, so we always have a lot of debris, and vacuuming is time consuming and isn't as effective as I'd like. I wasn't sure what to expect with the Dolphin, but the set up was incredibly simple, with very easy to follow instructions. We've run it probably seven or eight times over the last few days just to get the worst of the fine debris that was built up, and I'm so amazed! I'm not sure our pool has ever been this clean! The deep end is always the worst, there's usually a thin dark line of fine sand and silt debris at the edges. It's taken a few cycles - but that line is almost completely gone! I've never been able to completely eradicate it with our hand sweeper. For us, this was money well spent, and I regret that we didn't buy it sooner.

The clip that holds the bottom of the basket doesn't latch.
GardeningGranny—May 22, 2022
Works well except that the clip that hold the bottom of the basket won't latch which makes taking it out of the unit problematic. When we pull the basket out, it dumps everything in the bottom of the unit and makes a mess. Someone else with the same problem posted a video of the problem. I didn't give it just one star because it works well EXCEPT for this major problem

Not that great
Christa Koubek—May 17, 2022
Very easy to use the first time. My pool is 5 ft with stairs on either side and a baja shelf. The vacuum is unable to get up the stairs. It also gets stuck if I place on the baja shelf. After using it for a month, I'm finding that it doesn't clean that great. It can't seem to get into corners, and there's still a lot of dirt after it completes a cycle.

Dolphin CC is a game changer!
Amazon Customer—June 4, 2021
I wish I would have gotten this vacuum sooner! It arrived the week I opened my pool so I used it to help speed up the process. It's expensive but it does the job really well! I highly recommend if you're ok with not having the extra technology functionality. Pros: -Easy to use -Easy to clean -Climbs walls really well Cons: -The controls-- The main control to set 1,2 or 3 cleanings in a week is easy to use but the manual doesn't explain what the rest of the controls do. -Bluetooth- My unit shows a Bluetooth symbol but the apps don't work Callouts: - Make sure you unwind the blue power chord to ensure it's as straight as possible. This will help the robot climb the walls better and cover your entire pool.

Great so far
LMar—June 22, 2021
I read a lot of negative reviews for this product. I’ve only had it for a week, but it’s been great so far. My pool is always pretty clean, but it’s old. The finish has taken a beating over the years due to prior owners not caring for it like they should have. Each time I run the robot, it picks up a bunch of scale that has formed over the years which I’ve been oblivious to. I just run it for a couple of hours, come back, clean the debris catcher, and run it again. Each time I run it, it gets more and more off my pool walls. So far, I don’t have any complaints. If you expect a robot vacuum to get every part of your pool, you’re just a fool. Nothing beats a manual vacuum, but this sure is way more convenient than having to hook up a manual vacuum each time you need to vacuum your pool. It will be worth the money if it lasts for one year.

Works Fine, With One Major Flaw
You—May 13, 2021
We've had ours since 2019. It still functions as intended, but over time the ONE drawback, flaw, problem that I have with this unit is that it is jet propulsion. It sucks in water as it vacuums from the bottom, and ejects the water through vent in the top rear of the unit. Therein lies the one major malfunction - the water jet it uses to move around the pool actually stirs up the dust/dirt/sand which the unit hasn't had a chance to vacuum, and blows it all over the pool, thus moving it from one side or end to another. If you have narrow steps and/or ledges, they're not getting cleaned. I've had to follow this unit with a hand vacuum. Where it last cleaned will be easily discernable after the water calms and the dust settles. SO, we're retiring the unit and replacing it with an automatic suction pool cleaner, the kind that attaches to the filter intake and runs on suction. Those don't blow the dust/dirt/sand around. If you get a lot of leaves, pebbles and sand in your pool regularly, this will definitely do the job for you...just keep your hand vac at the ready, just in case...On a positive note, the filter basket is easy to remove and clean and on top of that, my basket has two removable sides. Cleaning is a breeze with a soft brush. We still have the original basket and after 2yrs, the filter membranes are still going strong.

works great with my Intex ultra Frame & climbs wall!
Raymond Engel—May 3, 2022
The media could not be loaded. I have a Intex 12x24 Ultra Frame and after doing research on multiple sights the Dolphin Nautica CC was highly recommended. I purchased it not thinking it would climb the wall with the large radius and negative angle with the soft shell vinyl, but it does, all the way past the water line! (see video) It's easy to use and my bottom of my pool stays spotless.
Questions & Answers
Common questions about the Dolphin Nautilus CC
Above-ground robotic pool cleaners are designed to clean the floor only. In-ground cleaners with wall-climbing capability are built differently; check your model's specs for floor-only vs floor, walls, and waterline.
With proper care and normal use, most robotic pool cleaners last 3–7 years. Lifespan depends on usage frequency, pool chemistry, surface type, and whether you store and maintain the unit as recommended.
It's best to remove the cleaner after each cycle and store it in a shaded, dry place. Leaving it in the pool can expose it to sun, chemicals, and debris, which can shorten its life.
Most plug into a standard 120V outlet via a low-voltage cable and control unit. A few models are cordless and run on a rechargeable battery; check your product's specifications.
Running it 2–3 times per week is typical for many pools. Heavy debris, high use, or large pools may require more frequent runs; smaller or covered pools may need less.
Check that the power supply is on and the cable isn't tangled or caught. Ensure the filter basket isn't overfull and that the unit isn't stuck on a step or drain. If it still doesn't move, refer to the manual or contact support.
No. Robotic pool cleaners run on their own power and filtration. You can run them with the pump off, which can save energy compared to pressure or suction-side cleaners.
Most residential robotic pool cleaners use a standard 120V outlet. The control box steps this down to low voltage for the floating cable. Check your manual for your model's requirements.
Simple tasks like cleaning filters and unclogging impellers are usually fine. For motor, cable, or electronics issues, use an authorized technician or the manufacturer's support to avoid voiding the warranty.
Cartridge filters are reusable: you rinse or wash them and put them back. Debris bags are often disposable or optional for heavy leaf pickup. Some robots include both; check your model for options.
Dolphin robots are designed to last many seasons. Lifespan varies by model, amount of use, pool chemistry, and pool surface. Following the manual and storing the unit properly helps maximize life.
DIY repairs should be done by an authorized technician. Contact your local retailer, Maytronics at 1-888-365-7446, or the support page on the manufacturer's website for service.
Dolphin units use a standard 120V outlet. The power supply converts this to the low voltage used by the cleaner. Do not use extension cords unless specified in the manual.
Replacement parts and filters are available through authorized Dolphin/Maytronics dealers, the manufacturer's website, and many pool retailers. Use genuine parts to keep the warranty valid.
Yes. Dolphin robotic pool cleaners are built to work in both chlorine and saltwater pools. Rinse the unit with fresh water after use to limit chemical and salt buildup.
